Bad dreams anyone?

Had a real shocker of a dream last night - City lost at home 6 - 0 and everything was truly appalling.  Some parts of the game were even in black and white.

I'm not saying for sure it was the Forest game, but my god I feel terrible this morning after having to sit through the mauling (or sleep through it).

And after the fans wanted to tear the stadium down and probably the players with it.

You ever had a City related nightmare?

I never remember dreams except for the anxiety one which recurs every few months.

I have lived away from Bristol for several periods in my life so my dream is that I am a long way from Ashton Gate and going to a game. Only to be thwarted at every stage.

It can be a car breakdown, enormous motorway traffic jams, missing buses or trains. Once I even got on a plane, thinking it was flying to Bristol only to discover the destination was Sydney.

The agony I go through to get there to watch my team and half the time it's not worth watching!

Like this coming Friday against our eternal bogey team. The first time I saw Forest at the Gate was 1956 and they thumped us 1-5. Since then I can only recall one win that I have seen back in 1975. So Forest are definitely a recurring nightmare.

PS. I know we beat them at home in 2013 but I wasn't there.

I get these kinds of anxiety dreams but always relate to going skiing, problems at the airport, snow turning to water, not being able to get off the chairlift, getting lost in a ski resort, never being able to ski.

Time to shatter that nightmare this Friday.  Now, can you remember that game from 1956?  That seems incredible if you can.

Haha....I get the one where I'm in thigh high powder, lose a ski and can't dig myself out....wake up exhausted :-)

I had a dream that Coppell, Millen, Del and Sod were in my shower.

That explains a lot ;-) haha

I think it was 1974 when you saw us win? We lost home and away to Forest in the 75/76 season - is it really only three wins in our last thirty three league and cup games against them?! Blimey....

Supporting City is a permanent nightmare in my book ;)

Used to have this knack of being able to go back into a dream at the point when I'd woken up. Used to be great for those really good dreams if you get my drift:D

Sadly that was many moons ago and I've lost the knack nowadays.:(

I rarely have football dreams, but strangely, last night, I had one where we were playing the Gash. at home and beat them 3-0.

First one was a goalkeeping howler of an OG by their Russian (???!) keeper, can't remember who scored our second, but the third was a lovely lob from Freeman.

The new Williams had been built in this dream.

It was snowy.

I know the Gas were renowned for extending the careers of former greats way past their best, such as Alan Ball and Mick Channon, but to suggest Lev Yaschin was between the sticks for them is a step too far.

So Derrick was bionically assembled like the Six Million Dollar Man? :dunno:

I get the same ones. It's either playing for City or Gloucester Rugby, and it's always against R*vers or B*th and I can't get my boots done up in time, or there are no socks left or something - something always prevents me getting on the pitch, which is not a bad thing I suspect! Not once have I made it on

Didn't realise it had to do with anxiety....will have to look that one up

Had a real odd one last weekend, was playing cricket against the Windies, in flip flops....Brian Lara was taking the piss because I couldn't run in when I was bowling. Then ISIS turned up, and it all went pear shaped, lots of claret. I don't even want to know what the meaning of that dream was!

I don't get all the fuss. You played a bit of cricket, some guys turned up and you had some wine. What's the problem?

I had weird one the other night. It was City v Rotherham at home, I was taking someone down for the first time and was saying about the ground changes. Well the Williams was tall, a single tier and joined on to where the ateyo is meant to be. It wasn't long though just weird. On the way in I give the finger to the away fans and all hell breaks loose!! City fans are having a go back, all of a sudden, this one Rotherham fan is on the pitch running towards me. Seems to be taking ages to get to me. Don't ask why but for some reason I had a mug and as he got closer I launched it right at his ******* head and down he goes. We won 3-2!

arhhhh yes the dreaded chair lift.... Over the top and into a blizzard, suspended 100ft above the ground, swaying like a monkeys tail, shivvering the crevices like ice in a freezer compartment and nowhere to go but bury your head inside your Parker and prey it ends soon.... Arrive at the top find a multi person pile up in front of u and get shouted at by some incoherent Frenchie with a fag in gob to stay on it and go back down the mountain.... What and suffer that mind numbing journey again.... On yur bike u frog. Arhhhhhh the humble chair lift.

I have dreams where I'm playing with gash as well....though strangely I can't remember a football being involved.

Correct sir. December 1974. And the following season when we went up to the First, Florest as you say, did the double over us.

If we get a win on Friday, I will think I have died and gone to the red heaven!

I didn't believe me but who will do the washing & cleaning ?  I cannot expect my beloved to do this !

if you can get a work permit sorted, treat her with respect, pay her on time then I'll send you one that fits the bill. Workaholics and they still manage to smile and not complain.

Thanks sounds lovely ......... ish

You will have no issues employing a filipina my friend. Nothing but hard work, smiley face, good teeth and easy on the eye ;) Whereas the Cubanitas are slow workers, can be very moody, usually have good teeth and are exceptional on the eye. Its your choice old boy.
