I always though Kevin Mabbutt epitomised all there was about a footballer when I was a young 'un. A lovely car with his name on the side. A bit of a pioneer in them days. And the hair... What I'd give for hair like that now......

REDOXO
The club and Kevin trail blazed the marketing of players, which taught the football world how not to do it!!!!!! As a poser not sure that would apply on the field to either of them and certainly not Chris (God) Garland. Tony Dinning now that was a poser! Thoroughly useless article who posed as a football player (after he got a contract). Tosser!

Major Isewater
To put things into perspective for the young 'uns with regards to Mabbutt , imagine all those things mentioned , the flash car with his name on , the magic bus ,stickers ,fan club etc but for Wes Burns , because Mabbutt had n't really achieved anything in his fledgling career to merit any of the trappings and bling .
