Leaning To One Side
Do any of you think that playing Fifa type computer games has played a part in clouding people's judgement (for the worse) on the real world workings of our beautiful game? I'm a bit of a technophobe and have never played them but I sometimes pick up comments on here which don't kind of correlate with the real world. For instance you read comments about player wages/contract terms and you get the feeling that they seem to be taking the info from these games as gospel. I get the feeling that the line between reality and virtual reality is somewhat blurred for some people and they try to suggest remedies that they'd implement into a game. What d'ya think? Unan
Some managers genuinely use 'Football Manager' for information.
BCFC Rich
Lots of clubs (including prem clubs) use football manager for scouting data - they employ over 1300 professional scouts to get information for pretty much every club of signiifcance in the world ( for context Man city have 40 scouts). Leaning To One Side
I can understand that managers use the games massive database to check on certain attributes of a potential transfer target. I just get the feeling some posters seem to think that the inner workings within a game will be played out in the real world. For instance I've seen comments where people have suggested we sign someone based on the fact that after five seasons within the game the said player had made it to the upper echelons of the football world. maybe I'm just an old git though haha
RumRed
Lee's of a certain age, perhaps our players are too young to understand the prematch team talk: Triangle, triangle, triangle, circle..

I think our current head coach thinks he is playing it. Ok, that's a stupid comment. It does bug me when the 'kids' (Joe included) say things like he's a good "CAM' (FIFA term). I know we abbreviate, but it still annoys me. We are all guilty of coming up with our team's in Football Manager formations. Even the EFL team sheets have to show the formations, that's wrong, let the opposing manager work out who will play where.
