WANTED: 1986 -1988 Home Shirt (Hirerite Sponsor)

Afternoon all,

I had this in the Buy and Sell section but no luck! It's a mate of mines 30th Birthday coming up and he's a life long season ticket holder. Wanted to get him a nice memento - does anyone have one for sale or know where I could get one? It's the one with the solid white band over the sponsor.

There is an away shirt from that year on ebay but thought I'd try my luck for a home shirt first!

Guess it's the Hireite one for a special reason / memory (Year he was born I assume)

Cant find one but how about a 1st division one from 76 or some other beauties

The problem you'll find is shirts of this era are now collectors shirts, so to get somebody to part with one will probably cost serious money, if they would part with it at all. I know I wouldn't part with mine which is in mint condition.

As a collector myself I have saved searches/alerts on all the auction & football shirt sites which I also monitor, but I've not seen an '86 white band appear for many many months.

Bloody hell, I missed a trick here, when I moved House a couple of years ago, I binned loads of immaculate City shirts from about  76 onwards......  ooops!!

Got a shirt still somewhere, with all the team sigs, Tony Thorpe Greg Goodridge, Rob Newman etc, trouble is it's a bit tight now, and I couldn't wear it for aesthetic reasons of course.

No idea when it's from, but it's not that old, if @RedM can remember which season she won the prediction league on here, its from that season.

I have just asked my son who remembers random stuff like this, he's telling me 2004/05 is the year I won the PL. I remember Tinnion was manager and his wife was heavily pregnant! I don't think he survived much longer after this did he, sacked early next season? If I'm honest I could see the strain he was under when I met him after the last game. If this ties in then that's the year you are after.

It would appear that it is a tough one to get hold of. He'll be settling for this season's with a big 30 on the back instead! I'll be sure to let the collecters amongst you know if I hear of one from other sources later on down the line!
