I am in Paris on Friday with my kids.  Anyone know any bars that will show the City v Villa game (in Paris @MadCyril).  Also what is the attitude to Kids in bars in Paris?  I'm in Angers tonight and they seem okay with kids in Bars after 10 at night.

Is the game being shown on any French channels? Bein sport is French I think..

Thanks in advance for any helpful hints.

Where exactly in Paris?

There will be numerous possibilities, depending on where you wish to watch.

Metro stop Richelieu - Drouot

Lots of Irish bars.  Cafe Oz has sky sports.  Had the cricket on when I was there for Euro 2016

This made me laugh a lot more than it probably should. And I have known Mad Cyril for more years than I care to remember.

Another option is McBrides near Les Halles. Went there during Euro 2016 aussi. Decent pub and seemed to be the sort of place that would show any and every match it could get its hands on. Clearly every chance it has closed, turned into a brothel, turned into a Starbucks etc since then.

There's an Irish bar on the Canal St Martin, Quai de Jemmapes, near to Republique metro, called the Cork and Cavan, which shows football. My favourite part of Paris to hang out in the evening, lots of people sit by the canal to drink and chat.

Hi Phil

I am staying at a campsite in Bois de Boulogne.  I can get anywhere by metro obviously...

Psg are playing st etinenne.   That will be the game in sports bars etc.    In france

You have the option of taking a 1 month subscription to bein sport (cost about 13 euros). And watch wherever you can get good internet access on your laptop (android or iOS will be more difficult)

I watched the Madrid:Man U super cup game this way a couple of weeks ago from a campsite in the medoc

If you are in Angers tonight, could you just pop into the club and politely ask if they sent us the right striker that we spent 5.2 million quid on? If not, bring him back with you. Cheers.

I have only just seen your post, so apologies for the tardy response.

Do you intend to spend the evening in central Paris? If so, where roughly?

Closest for you is the Champs Élysées, but they (bars with TVs) are mainly French bars and will most likely be showing PStG who are playing this evening.

Let me know where you intend to be, and I shall come back ASAP.

@The Bard I have just seen that you will be with your children.

There are a few bar/restaurants your side of Paris that serve burgers etc. and 'welcome' children, although the match is on at 20H45 local time and these will probably be busy on a Friday night.

Check this out Nick. Anger is a pretty quiet place with a gigantic rampart around part of town. Enjoy Paris. There is a lively walk around the south of the Seine by Notre Dame, filled with restaurants and bars on your way to this place, if you fancy. Why don't you call them and see if it is on? They will speak English and data and calls are all part of packages nowadays after recent legislation.

As I mentioned in a previous post, there are numerous English/Irish bars in central paris, most of which will be showing the match.

The question is where in Paris does @The Bard  anticipate being at 20H00ish and, if he has children with him, do they intend to eat?

The Bombardier is a fine pub, with numerous TV screens, but very lively on a Friday night - probably not suitable for young children.
