Tammy and Fammy

Do you think Swansea fans are feeling the same about Tammy as we are about Fammy at the moment. OK, I know he didn't cost £5 million but he did come with a decent reputation for scoring and is certainly one of their main strikers.  Just 1 goal so far isn't a great return and I'm wondering if the Premier league has come a little early for him. He looked really frustrated today and was moaning a lot.

I know Clement with his Chelsea connections made a big difference to Tammy's move there, but I can't help but think a move to either Brighton or Newcastle would have been a better move for him, as just feel their style of play would suit him more.

Shocking service into him today, with hardly any threat from Swansea down their flanks.

Swansea have created 7 chances in 4 games.. you can't feed a thoroughbred on breadcrumbs

Not even if doing it meant he scored a 94th minute winner against Cardiff?

Maybe then, but I'd call him The Famster for the rest of my life if he does that.

I refuse to call him Fammy, under any circumstances.

Yeh but it make for an eye catching and snappy topic title.......I feel I should have gone into advertising

Should have stayed here for another season. Would've suited both Chelsea and us. He's still a kid.. the Prem gets on my tits big time  why the rush?

He loved it here and he should still be here for another year

Who's writing him off? (Assuming you're speaking about Abraham.)

People on this thread.  Not ready, should've stayed blah blah blah

He's played a handful of games. Give the kid a chance

If I'm not fed up to the back teeth of people writing off strikers after just a few games.

Jeez. It's just awful.

what because our current striker is having a nightmare start and getting a bit of deserved criticism?

In fairness he virtually wrote off a teammates motor in five minutes ..... ;)

Swansea are probably hoping for 10 goals from Tammy, and he's on course to do so. He's looked bright and I can't imagine many of them will be writing him off yet.

They are probably much more hopeful than we are considering he's not their record signing and also looks the part, whereas ours simply doesn't at this time.

As a neutral I suspect Bony will lead line there, perhaps Tammy partnering him.

Swansea are more of a passing side, through the middle- but in the PL sides are better organised too so it's a bit of both. Will watch his progress with interest though- interesting to note Chris Wood, who by all accounts was shit with us has 2 goals in 2 games since joining Burnley.

Couldn't agree more there AD. It would have also proven if Tammy was the real deal which IMO he is.

If he'd have banged in another 20 plus goals in the Championship remembering that opposition players and in Tammy's case opposition defenders would have thought that kid turned me on the left last time, he ain't going to do it again sort of thing, this would have proven to all that he was ready for a ago in the Prem.

From the little I've seen of Swansea on TV, all too often Tammy is left on his own up front and doesn't get too much service. Presumably a change in formation so that he has a strike partner would solve that problem.

TA seems to be having a good day today.

5 goals for the season so far and his best game yet for Swansea according to Clement.

What do you think of Diédhiou  and Abraham now?

I note Swansea played a 4-3-3 today. Hope he does great, perhaps was wrong about him not being ready at PL level.

Still though, Bony returning star, big money, perhaps under pressure to play him you know how it can be.

Tammy is not a Kodjia. I am convinced Kodjia would score goals in the Prem. Tammy is a box player. Kodjia can make things happen with his pace and power without needing service. Tammy a better finisher but as an all rounder would say JK is more ready for that level.

I disagree and think the opposite. Kodjia wouldnt get the better of many prem defences, he’d be found out pretty quick.

tammy as you said is a better finisher and a “box player” right place, right time kind of guy. Put him in a team with decent service and he’s scoring goals

Nice to see Tammy getting a bit of focus on MOTD tonight.  Great player, now finding his feet in the Prem, and a top class attitude.  I hope we see him playing for England.

I’m pleased for Tammy this boy is a natural predator in front of goal completely different to Fammy and in today’s market is worth over £20 million a different gravy completely to Fammy and if he was given time at Chelsea upfront would score for fun with the supply. Remember he has only played for struggling teams us and the swans imagine what he could achieve with the likes of Hazard and Fabragas around him scary really
