the real test

where's the joy

i hope we get a result tonight but if a fixture appears this season that is more of a test than this one i will be surprised.

not won there for over 80 years, only 500 fans going, pisano out and a wolves team currently playing very well.

i am sure our boys will give it a right good go but we really need our strikers to turn up tonight, and a bit of luck.

Think Wolves will get auto so I agree - a real test tonight

Can see the possibility us get a bit of a mauling as they may be good enough to beat our press and that will spell trouble

We also like to play which may suit them down to the ground with their gathering of Portuguese starlets

A free hit , anything from it a massive bonus,  but the performance and resilience important as any result

Agreed. Given how we rode the storm against Brentford, matched Villa and won that tough game against Reading I think we've got a bit more steel about us now. Last season I'd expect a thrashing but think we're a better side now. We could sneak something from this game.

A draw would be a brilliant result and be a great start to the month.

Its a good team but we are also strong. They are fav, but think and hope we can surprise. Hard bodies, win the second ball, counter attack, thats my scenario. They won last home game vs Millwall 1-0. Wolves are not Barcelona. Come on and fight City!!!

Agree with all this but the highlighted piece especially BBSB. Will be an incredibly difficult game but it'll be great to keep the current momentum going with a good performance regardless of the result itself, keeping the improved resilience that we seem to have developed going. Would be overjoyed with a draw.

Wow! Reading the title, I thought that after playing Wolves, City had arranged a fixture against Real Madrid!

I work with a Wolves season ticket holder, he says they are brilliant in flashes but also look vulnerable. Apparently Cardiff beat the s**t out of them and they didn't like it up 'em. We are stronger this year, gonna be tough but a good indication of where we actually are.

Weather could be a factor as well.

Interesting game with them playing a similar game as Reading with three at the back - but probably with better players.

As per Reading, get in their faces, press, hit the channels, keep passing - and take the chances that come our way. I think Bobby may cause them a few problems tonight in front of their back three and will have a few quid on him scoring at any time.

Hope there are not too many unforced changes but I'd like to see either Leko or Elisasson in the team for that bit of pace.

Well done!

I hope you had a biggy on him!
