Guest SydneyCider
Sorry if this is a bit ignorant, but how come i hear people rating Hull for this season? I saw they've signed Barmby, and they have a good manager. But what else has happened there?
wesco
I think they may have signed a few more players. They do seem confident and I do see them as a possible top 6 but I can't see them pushing for top
cider head
they have money, a nice new ground, decent support, good players, a quality manager who has managed to do in 1 season what wilson couldn't do in 4 seasons ie turn a bottom half div.3 side in to a promotion team overnight... i just hope tinns can take a leaf out of peter taylors book, i'm sure he will but hull will be a hard team to beat this season. SimonL
Take a look at their web site for a look at their ground - puts ours to shame and hull is a ###t hole
bucksred
They have money, unusual for this league, big gates, quality manager, and a big, new ground..........perfect for promotion, in this skint, full of has been, wannabee, underperforming teams. Any more questions?
Guest LeicesterRed
They are a sleeping giant. Massive fan base, good stadium and money. They`ll be there or there abouts come May.
Guest Browner
And to think, I'm sure Peter Taylor applied for the City job at least twice without getting it

kit
they have money, a nice new ground, decent support, good players, a quality manager who has managed to do in 1 season what wilson couldn't do in 4 seasons ie turn a bottom half div.3 side in to a promotion team overnight... ← Hadn't they just lost the play-off final, but I agree with the point that he achieved what Wilson couldn't. Taylor is a proven manager in the lower divisions, and with the resources and players they have it is hard not to see them challenging.
Red Cloud
just to make you feel worse bucksred think you'll find it was Pulis we took ahead of Taylor!

cityboy
Take a look at their web site for a look at their ground - puts ours to shame and hull is a ###t hole ← True, but you have to remember they were given their stadium for virtually nothing. Still, it is rather good though.

Guest Primary Seagull
Nothing to stop Hull doing a Brighton and going up again next season.
Guest Primary Seagull
Actually, there's nothing to stop Doncaster or Torquay going straight up either. Well, maybe not Torquay,

Guest sprout1883
they will get 20,000 every other week, especially with all the fans from other clubs wanting to see the ground. They have some money and play some good football. much depends on wether the U21 job affects taylor at hull.
Guest GoneWest
Yer, don't write Torquay off. As their ground is 15 minutes down the road and they have City connections several spying missions were undertaken last season. They may have a dodgy ground and support (although percentage of the Town's population wise they'd put Brighton and Bristol to shame) I tell you not many Teams will roll them over this season. Pity they start with City, Hull, Sheff Weds though!!!
Guest GASHEAD_RUDGE
I think Hull could do well. They have got a lot of money, a very nice new stadium, a great fanbase and a very good manager. To be honest I dont think they will be able to go up automaticaly but I do think that they may be able to get into the play offs.

Guest simmos the gaffer
s Alright we took Wilson instead, and look where it got us!!!!! ← We actually took PULIS first and what a ****in good idea that was. England under 21 manager vs Welsh ex gas head #####. Hm.... not too difficult a decision but yet another the board got wrong! Wilson vs Taylor was a much closer shout!!!
