Does anyone know if you can listen to Bristol City games via Radio Bristol and a DAB Radio? I can’t listen to them online without a subscription to BCTV.

It's not usually clear until the actual sports programme starts on R Bristol, then they tell you where you have to go to listen to the game you are interested in. City are USUALLY only on 94.9 FM when we are away. And the home games on DAB

Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. It depends on the frequency allocations.

For today's game...

...so if you pick up BBC Bristol on DAB, you won't get the City game (you'll get Rovers v Plymouth instead) but if you pick up BBC Somerset, you will.

Don't forget when we play at home often you can get commentary on radio Somerset mw 1566.. for all those without DAB who live close enough to get reception

I’m always happy - I have a £10 -  20 year old radio alarm set to 94.9 FM. Take it anywhere in the house or garden - Best Buy ever !!

We are never on DAB or very rarely. Reason i was told was that more people can receive FM than DAB and as we have more people wanting to listen to us it makes a sensible choice.

How often do you sleep in your garden?

Why are the home games the DAB game? This makes no sense at all, as It's at least a second behind the 'live' play.

If the home games were on FM, more people would probably listen to it in within the stadium, and that's got to be good for Radio Bristol listener numbers.

And if you are following an away game, chances are you have a DAB radio at home and that 1 second delay doesn't really matter at all.

Most EVERYONE has access to an FM radio app on their mobile for the home matches and this should be a big 'sell' for Radio Bristol.

So, why do they have the DAB for home games and FM for away games?

The transmissions are the wrong way around, surely?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and this phone cannot pick up any radio at all, as it does not have an inbuilt FM tuner.

It’s the bbc why do the amount of listeners matter?
