CrazyInWeston
Is anyones "show new replies" notification not working tonight or is it just me? I gotta refresh the page, where usually I could just click on the black notification and the new posts appears, but when I do tonight, nothing happens therefore having to refresh the page entirely. robin_unreliant
Went to Craven Cottage back when Mark Gavin was in his brief hot streak. Remember him waltzing through their defence and I think we won. Was on an open terrace behind their goalie who was distinctly beefy - as he was reminded constantly. Made Tomlin look like a size zero. It was over the xmas holidays I think. Quote Link to comment

Late seventies, living in London at the time, City's promotion season when Alan Dicks's side went up to the old First Division. Can't recall the score, but I distinctly remember Tom Richie scoring and I believe we went on to win convincingly. A repeat tonight would do nicely, Yep, 2-1 win in November '75. I remember being high up in the open end right at the back and there being constant hassle with the police with literally scores of City fans - about 85 iirc. - being ejected throughout the match. Masses of complaints in the EP on the Monday about the heavy handed police and the thought at the time was they were waiting for City determined to teach the fans a lesson after trouble at a pre season Anglo- Scottish match at the same ground a few months earlier. ZiderEyed
1-0 to LJ's threshing machine. Big Little Old Young Bobby to put one between the white posts and in to the net behind the aforementioned posts. Quote Link to comment
CrazyInWeston
#BristolCity v Fulham: Fielding, Pisano, Wright, Flint, Bryan, O'Dowda, Brownhill, K.Smith, Pack, Paterson, Reid. #FULvBRC 1 Quote Link to comment
The Coach
He gets some stick, but Lee Tomlins free kick two seasons ago was one of the best reactions in the away end I've witnessed. Proper shit myself that the stand was going to collapse. 3 Quote Link to comment
CrazyInWeston
Nathan Baker and Matty Taylor are replaced by Eros Pisano and Korey Smith in the starting XI. #FULvBRC A knee injury rules out Nathan Baker at Craven Cottage. #FULvBRC Quote Link to comment
City Ben
No strikers. Interesting. How Spanish. 2 Quote Link to comment

cityexile
Only one up front, who is not really a natural on his own up there. Equally, should be lots of runs from midfield. Baker a loss. Ho hum. We shall see! Quote Link to comment

bristolcitysweden
Play the ball on the ball on the floor and we will be fine. Donkey business out. Quote Link to comment
1bristolcity
Plenty of movement in that squad, they couldn't cope with that last season, hopefully they won't to-night. Quote Link to comment
Ivorguy
LJ obviously wants the midfield five to break through in a way that he believes four wouldn't. Clearlly a positive decision as both Taylor and Djuric are on the bench Interesting move Quote Link to comment

Fulham had just been telegated from the top flight with 3 or 4 aged internationals. Johnny Haynes was one. We thrashed them 4 - 0 that day. If we want to press at the top of the division, we need a win tonight, though a draw would not be a bad result. Prediction 2 - 1 to City. Snakey in the first half and a late goal from Milan. Think it might have been 68/69 as they were 1st Div in season before. It was 6-0. Quote Link to comment

Spain went through a phase of playing no strikers innit. Just lots of creative midfielders buzzing around the place annoying the opposition defence. Seems quite similar to this with Pato, Brownhill, Reid etc. Apologies if it was a rhetorical "que" 1 Quote Link to comment

Ska Junkie
My concern with that team is keeping the ball up top if and when we're under pressure. Bobby isn't the hold up type so the ball could keep coming back at the defence. Once Milan comes on, no problem but our clearances to Bobby will have to be very accurate.
