Never to the dark side

Cue (in a Yorkshire accent) I've always liked Bristol me. They've a great Stadium now and a team ta be proud of. Lee has had a fantastic summer and med some greet acquisitions. They're absolutely flying at the moment and I can say we'll be the underdogs for shuwer. The atmosphere will be reet loud as it always is, the Bristol fans will certainly let me know they're there ah can tell ya. They always do....

Saved you a listen!

Did you see his interview on sky sports the other night , pretty much as you detail above.

Cardiff are the underdogs, we’ve beaten three premier league teams, the amount of money we’ve spent. I think he ends it by saying Cardiff are over achieving.

Unless 20man plans to have an "interview this weekend's opposition manager" slot on his Friday evening programme each week, he shouldn't give Colin air time IMO. It gives him kudos which is undeserved and unwarranted. Earlier comments on this thread show that we can anticipate with, I suspect, great accuracy, what he'll say and why he'll say it.

' shagged out ' is the  phrase I believe.

:laughcont:

LJ is also playing mind games , praising him up and then saying we know his strengths and weaknesses.

I don't think Tomlin is mentally strong or intelligent enough not to fall into any trap we set him .

I believe the game will pass by him .

The bloke has got to get the ball before he can do something magical with it .

I predict a rather difficult afternoon for him this Saturday.

Just got some looks for laughing out loud, as this is EXACTLY how I can picture this all smiles, and complimentary through a small glint is his little beady eyes.

I predict he scores. What happens next is anyone's guess.

Not celebrate - out of deference to the fans? Or give it the big one in front of the home dugout?

Out of deference to the fans?  He didn't seem out give two hoots about annoying us when he shared that meme on Twitter recently...  I'm not sure he's intelligent enough to consider any approach other than giving it the big one to be honest.

We really should just ignore him.  Brentford last season showed what happens when you give him dogs abuse.  Ignore him and don't give him the attention he craves.

Don't do Twitter, too many people like Tomlin on it, so no idea what you're referring to there. What I was getting at is the fact his problem was with management rather than the fans, some of whom were singing his name to the bitter end. I agree absolutely that ignoring him is the best option but there is no chance of that happening as there are always voluble idiots, at every club, who can't resist - playground taunting being the default setting for rather too much "atmosphere" at football matches.
