palmerred
Feel lucky that managed to get 12 tickets from the ballot, including 2 for the final. I selected the more expensive categories presuming most would go for the cheaper ones, therefore increasing my chances of getting them.

22A
Just now, havanatopia said: Is that a lot or not a lot in the scheme of things? If the average stadium attendance is only 30,000, multiply that by 64 (the number of games to be played) that's 1,920,000 spectators. The largest stadia capacities are; Luzhniki - 81,000 and Krestovsky - 68,134. The others hold 35,000 - 45,000 and I assume not every game will be a sell out. Never to the dark side
I did a quick calculation of ALL 42 group matches and their stadium capacity. I came up with a figure of approx 2.4 million ticketrs available
EnderMB
It's also worth bearing in mind that a large percentage of tickets are held for hospitality/corpoate customers. It's hard to say whether it's a good number or not, and whether these numbers include those sold to corporate sales offices across Europe. As an example, a recruiter I'm connected with on LinkedIn has said that their company is promising a free ticket to the World Cup with the bosses. I doubt they could promise that if they hadn't already bought a corpoate box for a select few games.

Or Sepp Splatterfeatures has invited Mugabe's extended family, Putin is allowing the inmates at Gorki Park Prison a free ticket to each match and Zuma and Ping are bringing all of their political crony elite. Hopefully the former so we can all have a quiet summer.

wendyredredrobin
Did I not read that the ticket price for foreigners was 10 times the price of tickets for Russians? Can't we tap up a few Ruskies? If you are going, you will only need tickets for Englands first 3 games, then you can come home with the team. Really looking forward to watching Sourgates mesmerising blend of attacking football. You would get better entertainment at the mem.

Tasty group but sadly can't happen as Saudi and Iran are both in Asia 1 minute ago, ZiderEyed said: Russia England Iran Germany That would be my ideal group ngl. Just bc of how 'interesting' it would be. Again, would be fun but you can't have 3 UEFA countries...and Russia and Germany are both pot 1. Have just done the draw simulator on the Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/russia-2018-world-cup-draw-simulator/) a few times. Three options I got were: Portugal, England, Egypt, S Korea. Brazil, England, Tunisia, Australia. Argentina, England, Denmark, S Korea. Fancy any of those?
