Marlon Pack - master of the disguised pass?

From the highlights it seems that Marlon showed again he is the master of the disguised pass, throwing the opposition of the scent as he passes in an unexpected direction while shaping up to do something more obvious. Did it to put Joe in for the first against Man U and again for the second on saturday.

Always dreamed about having clever, skilful players and best of all nippy, quick thinkers at our Club. Marlon, Pato, Brownhill, Joe and ......... Bobby.

Bobby has a sublime touch, passes creatively as well as showing true goal-scoring instinct. What a brilliant time to be following City.

For the haters, im afraid to say this method of passing has only come into marlons game since he played with tubby Tomlin.

If Lee didnt do much for us, im sure he in a small way has improved marlon for us!

Well said. Just shows confidence is key in football as in all sports. We've got a group of players that will now try things that they may have thought were beyond them - result - we're capable of beating the best including  Man Utd.. We have to give the coaching staff credit for this

I think LT had a big influence on some of Bobby’s technique too....the "control and roll" your marker in one touch is one such thing.  Luckily Bobby has the speed to get away from his man.

I also think Bobby became more inclined to always look forwards (either running or passing) as a result of playing with tomlin.

He also learned a lot from Tammy about finishing, being in the right place at the right time.

Says more about Bobby and his willingness to learn from others than anything else IMO.

Retires at the age of 29. This wasn’t down to injury either, it was his personal choice. I thought he was a liability myself but it’s good to see him pursuing another career that he enjoys. Good luck to him

Why be afraid that Marlon learned this off of Tomlin. ..? He still has to have the technique and awarness to play the pass. All credit goes to Marlon Pack who has been one of the most underated CM players to have ever worn the shirt

Yep, I love that he’s scored several poachers goals too.
