bh_red
Scott Murray what a legend Did anyone see Murray at half time, warming up with the other subs and they were having a bit of shooting practice, Scott fired a shot from the centre circle and it just went over the bar...... (here's the funny/but sick bit) some poor innocient 5 year old was sat on the railings pitch side and the ball sailed over the cross bar and SMASHED him right in the back of the head, kid pretty much did a full summersault as he crashed to the floor. Everyone saw it and people didn't know whether to laugh or cry!!! Kid was on the floor almost crying his eyes out, fair play to scotty though came running from the half way line to loads of jeering, and good on him made sure the kid was ok. Quality moment, was when he missed a easy chance to score, and someone suggested putting the kid in the goal to give him something to shoot at. Fair play to scotty after the match during the warm down, he was clearly looking for the lad and came over and told his old man to give him his address and scott would sort the lad out with a signed shirt. What a legend, and what a top top bloke, good to know that there are still some decent footballers out there.
bcfc seattle
I'm never surprised when I hear this type of story about Scott, he's a truly class guy.

Tim S
Yeah I saw this too - I was behind the goal where it happened too - stood beside the Yellow Subbers.... Another funny moment was that some of the Yellow Subbers had brought some flags and wanted to put them up behind the goal... so they sent up a lad who was able to climb around the fence to tie them up... then half way through doing it the PA Announcer said "Can the kid on the fence behind the goal please get down for safety reasons". Hilarious!! Although i guess you had to be there!!! Did anyone else see this?!?! That must have been the most entertaining friendly ive ever been to - more of the same when the season starts I hope!!!

Johnny Casio
They great thing about Scotty is that he can have a laugh and be a joker but he is also a decent honest bloke, top bloke! WELL PLAYED SCOTTY!
Oakleyson
Yes it's great to have characters like Scott in the Dressing Room. Players like Scott are key to team spirit and morale, as well as being a top bloke.
Guest City 'Til I Die
Aye I went down with the kid's school for a tour of the changing rooms and stuff. As we were walking around I spotted Scotty and gave it a good Bristolian bellow of "Wey-hey, Scotty!" Not seeing he was on his mobile. Most would probably have flung me an annoyed look, but he brought his phone down fromhis ear and said 'All right?' Stuck his thumb up and winked, before continuing his call. Little thing like that speak volumes about a man's character.
bcfcrobin
Thefunniest moment in the match for me was when people were throwing some abuse towards the linesman behind the goal city were attacking in the first half......a bloke about 5ft tall and wearing a very long coat turnt round and said something like 'watch your language because i am a linesman too'...everyone burst out laughing.....cant remember the exact words but was hilarious....he got so much stick afterwards he decided to talk to these 9 year olds kids along the railings! bcfcchris2016
i was right next to the kid as well. I was the one with the Red England Away shirt just to the right. I did not know whether to laugh or cry. Fair play to Murray for going to see if he was alright
madmax
I saw the Murray shot. I stood for 5 seconds, waited, kid OK, balls of laughter from me and the mates. The fact the kid somsersaulted several times was the best bit. Then we held up boards with 6 on them !! Fair play to Murray and we're glad the young lad was OK.
