southvillekiddy
Things can change if SL hires a manager with guts who has been there and done it in the Premiership. I don't know about the rest of you but until then this is how I will feel

Hampshire Red
Pep, Klopp, surely everyone in the world is guaranteed to do really well managing City and would do that just because some 'fans' like to have a pop at our manager. Probably they were having a pop two years ago and then were shut up last season by the wonderful games and results credited to Lee

Secondly unless we believe we can be a successful Premiership Club with the high quality manager this would demand, we will never achieve it. And incidentally It's not that long ago, 1999, that Manchester City were in the old second division. The difference with us and that Club is that they weren't frightened to be ambitious and hired the best people.
REDOXO
Bristol Sport is quite a tasty looking company for any Arab/Thai/Indian/Russian Multi billionaire. However failing an offer for the entire company the options look small. LJ has completely divided people and not because of any personal dislike as some would try and have people believe but because he has no clue what he’s doing, buying players that don’t/can’t play and being worse than we were at the end of last season. LJ has not made any discernible money from buying players, with only one player we bought looking like he’s worth more than what we paid (Brownhill) LJ has wasted resources on talentless talent and still pins his team around SC players, Pack and Smith. Time to smell the coffee ladies.

Plust the small matter of spending not far off the whole of SL's wallet on the club since they bought it!!!

It shouldn't be a big deal for a billionaire who is a fan. According to Wikipedia about Manchester City - "During the summer of 2009, the club took transfer spending to an unprecedented level, with an outlay of over £100 million on players Gareth Barry, Roque Santa Cruz, Kolo Touré, Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and Joleon Lescott" That's still only one twentieth of SLs fortune (and don't tell me about FFP - a nationally famous accountant could get round that) It's no good him spouting about Premiership football unless he's thinking in those terms. You are not going to get it for 5 bob with 'arry anymore. The average fan spends many times in excess of a 20th of their disposable income every week
robin_unreliant
Well according to this article, since the takeover they have spent £1.4 Billion. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5679023/amp/Man-City-spent-money-European-teams-decade.html As I say - wouldn't leave Steve much to hand on to his family. But you carry on in your fantasyland - don't let reality distract you.

Yep in the last ten years that's £140 million a year and not forgetting all the money rolling in in sponsorship TV Premier League etc. etc. but have a look at these figures please. robin_unreliant
Not much point quoting the full financial position of a company when SL only owns about 12% of it. I just think it is very easy to spend someone else's money. You can blow a fortune on a football team quite easily. I don't think you can sniff at the £150m+ he has already spent. I do agree though that he should stop pretending that we are on the way to the PL as that isn't reality either. It's a bit like Theresa May claiming her deal is delivering on Brexit when anyone with half a brain can see it's not.

Fair play to you mate. but that £150 million has bought him our football ground and we are still stinting ourselves every week watching low end Championship football at best. The Club would be able to tell us what the fans have spent on supporting BCFC during SL's tenureship for no fanancial return/assets whatsover. Anybody got any idea what that figure could be?
