Diedhou “Lit up the game with one piece of decisive magic”?

More like a bog standard header (albeit he wanted it more than the centre half tbf) and if we had conceded that Niki would have been killed on here for having nobody on his near post!! Get Frank back etc...

Take it all day long mind and something not mentioned in the post match analysis  is that the Keeper has had a couple of good games after looking rusty at Ipswich.

Even allowing for a couple of less impressive displays,  and at the risk of dropping him in it for Saturday, don't you feel far more confident with him in goal? I just feel so much more relaxed about crosses coming in and I would imagine that the players in front of him must do too.

100%. It’s vital at the higher levels of the game that keepers can be decisive dealing with balls pumped in and not just be shot stoppers. You ask any defender and they will take the odd shot stopping error in a season all day long over having to continually head balls in their own six yard box.

Exactly. Decisive.

For me Webster has been our best summer signing, followed by Maenpaa.

With Zack Steffen on his way to Man City then on loan to Girona (latest rumours), I would be exercising the one year extension option on Niki and making sure he doesn’t get tapped up in January.
