Lifts to be arranged for Boxing day against Brentford?

Chatting to my mates yesterday, they live in Bradley Stoke and regularly get the train in. Yesterday had to leave 10 minutes early to get the last train back . On Boxing Day they have to get the only bus running (no Metro ) , takes an hour to get to the centre and they'll walk from there. Really don't understand why the Council/first bus / powers that be. don't talk to each other and get organised. Everyone complains about Bristol traffic and yet nothing is done to help on days they know 20,000 people are heading to the same place at the same time, really is pathetic.

The Council will have spoken to the Police. The plan would be make people drive. That way more cars means more parking problems. So more parking tickets and more revenue for them.  Wait and see.......

No the council don’t speak to us when sorting out bus routes for football unfortunately.

No nothing sneaky about pcsos being on duty on match days and dealing with vehicles unlawfully parked.

I have always stated this happens and for fans to be aware and park lawfully, most fans do and those that don’t gamble on being fined unfortunately .

it is not something we discuss with council but something that is done as a result of residents complaints.

I am not sure quite what to say now tbh, yes the game is on Boxing Day, yes I am replying on a Sunday morning and no the council does not meet with police to discuss various issues in the area. The only time this happens is within the sag meetings where other agencies are there including club representatives, fire, ambulance etc .

Just don’t park illegally, it’s a really easy way to not get fined for illegal parking.

So JulietH, PCSO's have the right to tkt illegal Parked cars, I thought the was a enforcement officers job, (where have all the policemen gone),

You're all banging on about parking tickets and you've all missed the real point here.

@Never to the dark side has a frigging DeLorean.

88 miles an hour down the Portway and @JulieH's pals can't catch us whilst we zoom back to the glory days of John Atyeo or Gerry Gow.

Let me know when you've got a space NTTDS. I've always fancied going to the Man U v City FA Cup Final.

Not sure what bus,s might/may be running on Boxing day.

So if you have a spare seat or two, could you offer the spare seats to other city followers who are heading for the gate
I am taking two City fans to the Gate and back in my delorean motor

Should be grateful we are home on Boxing day

Like I have said on previous occasions it’s good you come on here and make the effort to give the truth and facts not what a guy down the pub told you

Neville, old chap, you give everyone on here a lift, with your, er, idiosyncratic threads. Except, perhaps, @Alan Dicks' Barmy Army (the miserable sod).

Keep threading!

Or fast forward to 2023, Europa League final v Mechelen (resurgent force in Belgian football).

We lose our RB through, injury, our player of the year Brownhill goes back to RB and we lose a grip of the midfield.  Mechelen improve and late-on, a Cross gets head out to their striker who volleys home....it’s.only bleedin’ “Biff” Engvall!!

Johnson stares at a photo of MA, SL and him in Feb 2016, it’s fading rapidly......

....to be continued ?

Mark Ashton is still there in 2023?

Wow, I wonder who he's shagging in order to keep his job so long... ? ?
