ExiledAjax
With the midfield of Pedro, Mount, Barkley, and Pulisic he'll get far more service than at Swansea. He's already hit the post and had two balls flash across in front of him 6 yards out. Everyone on here has seen first hand that if you get balls into the box when Tammy is there then his positioning and instincts will just get goals. Phileas Fogg
Playing young players from their academy will buy Lampard time if it's not going well. United's midfield is pretty rubbish and losing the midfield battle, but one stupid mistake by Zouma and no luck for Chelsea with their shooting, and somehow United leading. Umm yes, the goal is the same size, but the players trying to stop you getting the ball into it are better, the higher up the league you go..! He is just strolling round the pitch. Case in point, he does well to hold up the ball and lay it off near the half way line with Maguire all over him, but the Chelsea move breaks down when a sprinting Maguire gets back to the edge of the box to intercept and Tammy has barely moved 5 yards forward. His build reminds me of Kanu, very ectomorphic. In the modern game, I don't think that's ideal. He's an instinctive goalscorer and given a run of games I'm sure he will come good. I thought it would be harsh to blame him, Maguire was allowed to have his hands all over him stopping him from going anywhere. Similar to Taylor Moore last weekend, ball may have been given away higher up the pitch but there should have been enough players behind him to prevent what happened. Azpelecueta let off for allowing Martial to be goal side? Would say he gets more of the blame.

Harry
Does this mean Tammy is worse than Bailey Wright? Given they both missed a penalty by trying to hit it down the middle, but Tammy being a striker and the crucial 5th penalty taker surely ranks him worse than a centre back at 7th taker. EnderMB
To go 3-3 on the night against Liverpool shows that Chelsea aren't awful, and to be honest I think Tammy had a decent game, but I think we'll see if he's got what it takes a few games into the season. If he does have a bad season at Chelsea, I wonder what his transfer value will be. He's obviously a proven player at Championship level, so I reckon £15m to land him on a perm.
