Guest Dannycidered03
To be honest beating them 5-0 is a bit unrealistic. I think we could get 4 but not 5. Torquay are a bigger threat then you may think.

Robbored
Hmmm... a little over confident? Does this mean that anything less than a 4 or 5 nil win will be a disapointment? After all a win is a win and 3 points.
Robbo1980
No because if we finish level on points at the end of the season, then goal difference will be vital. Face facts Torquay only scrapped promotion and we would have done if 3 went straight up from our league
SimplyRed
It's ridiculous to over-hype the match and then be disappointed if it doesn't live up to your expectations. Let's just be hopeful and confident that we can start the season with a win. I think we'll be a little bit too hot for the Gulls to handle and we'll win comfortably. But we have to remember that Torquay aren't going roll over and invite us to pop the ball into the net at will, even though a lot aof posters here seem to think they don't have the right to be on the same pitch as us. They have and they are and they earned it. Now we have to earn our win and we'll have to work hard to achieve it. Let's get behind the lads and be positive, even if we only scrape a 1-0 win. Torqauy are here on merit after a great season under their talented manager. We are still here after bottling out again under a tactical muppet. We are both where we deserve to be. When will some people ever learn, never under estimate the opposition ← mr gow its understandable, local derby v's (and I'm being honest) a very small club who are favs to go down, id expect most torquay fans to be doing the same thing if they were in your position, but its the small clubs that can pi55 on most peoples fireworks and normally do

Robbo1980
Usually, but City always seemed to shoot themselves in the foot last season against the bottom teams, where as we were unbeaten against the 5 other teams in the top six last season. But must be more consistant and not loose 3 in a row after we won 11 in a row.
