Regrettably at the Bristol Rovers home fixture, there were two incidents where objects were thrown from the stands. In the first half, plastic drinks bottles were thrown on to the pitch from the away section, aimed at players and home supporters. This incident is currently under investigation together with The FA.

Forest Green Rovers : April 2022

Officers are investigating incidents that happened during Bristol Rovers’ home game with Forest Green last month.

The two West Country sides played out a goalless draw at The Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 23 on their way to promotion, but upon the final whistle police had to contend with several incidents of public order.

"An investigation has been carried out, with assistance from both football clubs, and a number of arrests made," said an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson.

Bristol Rovers have condemned the behaviour of home supporters who entered the Memorial Stadium pitch after Saturday's draw with Forest Green Rovers.

The visitors clinched promotion with a 0-0 draw at the Mem and hundreds of their supporters hopped the hoardings and entered the pitch at full time.

Dozens of home fans followed before stewards and police regained control of the situation.

In a statement Bristol Rovers said: "The club does not condone the actions of supporters who came onto the pitch following today’s match against Forest Green Rovers.

"Whilst we understand that emotions were high following Forest Green’s promotion, our fans should not have entered the playing confines with a view to anti-social behaviour and we would like to remind supporters that it is against EFL regulation to trespass on the pitch.

"The club will work with authorities to take the appropriate action to deal with those who incited violence."

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Following yesterday’s game between Bristol Rovers and Forest Green Rovers at the Memorial Stadium, a number of supporters of both sides went onto the pitch.

"Officers worked closely with stewards to separate the supporters and ensured everyone could leave the stadium safely.

"It’s always disappointing when a minority of supporters behave in this way and officers will now be working with the club to consider what further action needs to be taken, including the use of football banning orders if necessary.”

The club have received three previous fines, dating back to November 2018, for breaches of the FA rule E20. The most recent, a £7,500 fine in November 2019 for homophobic chanting by spectators, led to an action plan for the club to review the quality of its stewarding.2 Aug 2022

I know lot's of people are worried about certain things this winter but this tops the lot..........

Now the winter is kicking in will be interesting to see how proactive the club is in making the fan zone work. Huddled together in a pop up gazebo may not be the way forward.

??

Surely a bus shelter would surfice - if they are exoecting the majority of their fans to attend.

I don’t think any of the above would be appreciated by OTIB as we are the gift that keeps giving. However we have never stooped to the lowest of their lows. Burning stands down, Chasing players and punching players off the pitch at the Gate. Intimidating players through encroaching on the pitch with no readdress even though the game was shown internationally on sky.

Well, he is correct that they are the gift that keeps giving. This thread wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the constant embarrassing gaffs their club and fans churn out on a regular basis.

After that he’s simply listing things that Rovers fans themselves have also been guilty of so, yes…they have ‘stooped to the lowest of our lows’. Still you wouldn’t expect honesty from a Gashead would you?

At least our fans don’t go around playing ‘Boob Cricket’.

This prat obviously doesn’t go to Rover’s games

They really don't know when to stop do they.

Can anyone be sure that Limpwristgas isn't one of our lot who has snuck under the rusty curtain and infiltrated their message board? I honestly can't imagine that any Rovers fan would write that unless it was to get a reaction on here as clearly as recently as the last game of last season when they won promotion in the most unlikely of circumstances, the goalkeeper for the side they beat was attacked - and let's not forget he wasn't the first keeper they've attacked, pretty sure I remember a number of years back a couple of them went on the pitch to attack a visiting keeper.

(For reference, I think that was before the point that another visiting player was racially abused, but it was around the same time).

Reality is, both sets of supporters have some absolute idiots amongst them, but they have a charge sheet as long as your arm and are seeing capacity reduced based in part of supporter actions.

They way they're going, they'll be playing at the Mem in another 30 years, with a revised capacity of 5000 and they'll still not make that a sellout to season ticket holders.

A more disorganised bunch you'll never find elsewhere, they have some ligitimate things to moan about - the stadium being one of them - but the moment they get members of the supporters club on the board of directors, they lose all fight as those directors don't challenge, represent or fight for the fans, they suddenly become 'club people' who don't want to challenge anyone or anything. But still the Fewers pay their memberships and question nothing. The fact some of them relish the lack of facilities as a good thing because 'it isn't a soul-less bowl' and 'it's a proper football stadium' - it really isn't anything to cheer, it's attitudes like that which keep the majority in poverty surroundings.

We could have swapped league success/non-league status with them over the last 15 years and I'd wager we'd still be attracting new fans to the stadium, they have an aging fan base, zero marketing and will likely go the way of clubs that still dine out on past glories, only they've not that much to crow up. Won't be surprised that unless they break-ground on a new stadium in the next 5 years (be that a new stadium or a fully redeveloped Mem) they'll end up League 2/Non League again. No doubt that Barton has done well correcting his relegation by getting them back to where he picked them up, but he won't be there in the long term. His family are in the north and as soon as a better option comes along, he'll be gone. They kid themselves that 'Wally/Joey/Whoever are 'proper Gasheads' - absolute tosh. Wally is a Chelsea fan, Joey wants a job and everyone else is just passing through.

They've stooped lower than where we have ever been, both on and off the pitch.

In 2014 they had more football banning orders than any other football league club in the country. FACT!

Punching Braintree players in the back of the net just because they were losing to a complete footballing backwater and their self-entitlement attitude got the better of them.

Family club? What a ******* joke. Do me a favour. Holier than thou Gas delusional bullshit at its finest.

They can't see reality from the utter drivel and bullshit that they keep trying to spout.

When they set themselves up like old limpwrist then they continue to be the gift that keeps on giving.

It is. You are welcome to look it up :)

Here you go....

There were 484 new banning orders issued during the 2014/15 season, compared with 678 in 2013/14.

Bristol Rovers had the biggest number of new orders overall, with 31 issued during 2014/15.

Burnley fans received the largest number of new banning orders in the Premier League, 26 in total, before their relegation.

In the Championship Wolverhampton Wanderers fans had 22 imposed.

Leeds United fans sparked the most football-related arrests last season, 99 according to the figures.

Limpwrist….

an arrogance of being untouchable has been bred which fuels the many pages on the dustbin thread.

Arrogance again. It’s the arrogance of Gasheads with the failure to recognise how tinpot they really are and how they compare themselves to clubs twice the size of them and look down on clubs with better facilities than them which fuels the many pages on the dustbin thread, not the arrogance of gurt shitheads.

If truth be told the Gasheads are embarrassed about the Mem. They know it’s a complete shithole and a joke of a stadium, but of course they’ll never openly admit it because that would give the arrogant Ted’s even more fuel to take the piss.

If they think we’re fooled by their so called love of Membley then they are sadly mistaken. It’s a run down ramshackle mess with tents for stands and plastic garden chairs and the Bolton Fans likened it to Chernobyl and the Millwall fans commented that the only thing missing was a ******* coconut shy.

Gaslogic therefore says that Bolton and Millwall fans are just arrogant Ted’s in disguise ?

Clowns ?

So calling somebody a "14er" is "sad"

By default then, calling somebody an "82er" is the same ?

An B.T.W. it's 15er not 14er; in reference to the year 2015. The year of course, in which you became a League Club.

Imagine only being a league club for 7 years?

No wonder they’re bitter when they look at us with over 120 years in the football league.

Maybe they should’ve put their new badge poll on our OS as they are so utterly incapable of coming up with anything themselves? ?

Anthem, nickname, stadium….all stolen or given to them by someone else.

Funny little club.
