i know he didnt play well, but that doesnt stop him being the flying scotsman

If he is the Flying Scotsman, then there is a lot of bloody stations to stop at.

He is pants that have been stained by being washed with some really dirty pants

He has not turned into a bad player over night!

He is blatantly much more effective when making runs from deep rather than playing upfront but lets give him a chance up there, he is an intelligent enough player to learn how to time his runs better.

And anyway, I would rather have him than Christian 'offside barn-door' Roberts!

the season before last Murray scored a few goals playing wide on the right, the man giving him the balls to run onto is now in charge, when will the message get home, stay wide Scot and BT will play you in, surely something the groom and best man should have sorted before the season started.

Scotty is not 1 to run in from the centre to head some of the crosses in thats what STRIKERS are for hes a MIDFIELDER, he needs to be playing wide using his pace to beat the defenders before putting in a driven cross for one of our STRIKERS to be heading in, a huge percentage of his goals 2 seasons ago came from him running in from the right and cutting in by the edge of the box to slot one pass the keeper in the far corner, but he aint going to be able to do that if he isnt playing wide so you cant criticise him untill you see him in his natural posistion which can be said about alot of city players.

There is a danger that Tinnion could be showinng the first signs of "PYMS" (pick your mates syndrome). This illness is much more commmon at local league level and is where a manager falls into the trap of picking his favourite 11 players and then trying to make a team out of his selections.

Unfortunatelythis ofetn means players being played out of position and the team performance is then compromised. Murray's selction upfront in a 4-3-3 formation typifies this as his position is as the wide player in a four or five man midfield, playing as what used to be called a winger.Similarly, it seems everyone is a calling for us to play with a target man to hold it up (including Tinnnion) but he doesn't play Miller, who fits the bill as far as I , and many others, can see.

Of course, every Manager will have his favourites, but one of the hardest tests of Tinnion's management will be making sure his head rules his heart and that picks the right players in the right positions, even if it means his favourites being droppped (remember DW had this illness with Peacock!). The season's just started, and the illlness is in the early stages of development and with the right medication(making changes when required, followed by good performances and results) the problem is easily cured. Unfortunately, if the patient doesn't recognise the symptoms and the illness develops, the consequences can be frightening - a slide down the table is often accompanied by falling gates. The worst side effect of this illness is a nasty rash of angry, dissatisifed fans breaking out with greater regularity at home games.

Any ciy fan with an ounce of sence knows that it takes scotty 4-5 games to get going fully. Give him time he'll come good.

Not really a striker though is he? From what tins has said about him being wider it looks like he'll basically be a right winger who pushes forward a hell of a lot!!!! Is he trying to save himself saying 4-3-3 wasnt any good on saturday???

Would agree with your comments but would like to add that Scott is a WINGER and I think we should play him there 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 please Tinns.

'Illness'! The only illness around here is is the rampant, infectious, and terminal pessimism that seems to have infected this board. The cure? A hammering of Barnsley. It'll all change, you mark my words......
