Popular Post RoystonFoote'snephew
Sadly big Al finally succumbed and lost his battle for life last night. I first met him when he was a boy living opposite the Gate and his mum used to clean the Star (later Wedlocks) when my uncle ran it. We met up again years later working at Abbey Wood. There were numerous trips watching City after that but the highlight has to be the trips to Riga. Will miss you mate. Rest in Peace. 2 3

RedEd73
Alan was a great bloke. I have many happy memories of away days in the 90's with him. Always good humoured, never had a harsh word to say about anyone. A top, top man. Sleep well mate.
Davefevs
I only met Al at the Bristol City quiz where we put in an OTIB quiz with Dolls, SepticPeg, Rich and “Buster”. I asked him about his username, I hadn’t twigged what his surname was! A very good general knowledge and even better knowledge of City. His knowledge of Bundesliga nicknames I’ll let him off about! Glad I got the chance to put a name to a face. RIP Al. Than fan base up in the sky is growing too quickly. 2

Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
I remember him from years ago as we went to the same Primary and Secondary School but he was a couple of years older, only ever spoke to him a few times around the area, he was always sound though but I didn’t really know him. Looking on Facebook we have mutual friends and he was obviously loved very much. Rest In Peace Alan.

He mentioned on here before Christmas that he had cancer but I didn’t realise it was him. Poor bloke.

I hope it happens and he gets the reception he deserves at the best possible time which surely would be straight from kick off in the second half? beaverface
Pretty sure I used to chat with Alan on CATS during the early 90's, and then many years later bumping into him in Latvia. He was talking at the time of buying a property in Latvia as he liked it so much over there. I'm assuming its the same Alan I'm thinking of. RIP Alan.
