Kibs
Can anyone tell me if there has been a team from the bottom two divisions that have gone up playing anything other than 4-4-2 or 3-5-2???? I'm not saying that are players arent good enough or Tins aint the man for the job cause i still firmly believe he is but i just think that its complicating things with this 4-3-3. Players at this level just arent used to playing in this sort of system and the large majority will have played nothing but 4-4-2. They have to think to much about what they are doing and where they are meant to be. I still think it could work but Lee Miller has to be apart of that front 3 in my view, Didnt he get the knock down for Lita's goal when he came on??!! I just cant see him changing it - Murray is class but is struggling in his new role, Tins wont drop him though no matter how bad he plays!!, Heffernan is his main man and Lita has bagged 2 in 2 so can hardly be dropped!!! Come on City - 3 points at Bournemouth on sat please!!!
Guest TinmansCulturedLeftPeg
I wouldn't blame it on 4-3-3 at all because we're not really playing 4-3-3! I'd blame it on the fact that we have Murray on the right flank and nobody on the left flank....that's the major problem....another problem is that the three midfielders are all over the place rather than playing zonal like this - 'left-centre-right Tinnion-Doherty-Orr left-centre-right' 3-5-2 with Bell and Murray wing-backs would be almost guaranteed to work(as it has done in the past),and a zonal three-man midfield as I mentioned above,3-5-2 would give us desperately-needed balance.... Or 4-4-2 with Anyinsah or Goodfellow on the left-wing,if target-man Miller was up front then Anyinsah or Goodfellow could have some freedom to fill the hole at times....Murray on the right-wing,Orr and Doherty in midfield.... By the way,Plymouth won the league last season playing 4-5-1 with an attacking left-winger and an attacking right-winger supporting target-man Mickey Evans, they had good balance in midfield as well with a zonal three(left-centre-right)....
