ollywhyte
No Bamba. Can we assume he's been allowed to move on or am I reading too much into his omission?

Northern Red
No first team game this week means this is an ideal opportunity for the players who haven't seen much action to get some game time.

On reflection, it's only a certain quotation of over 23's in the squad as well isnt it.
RoystonFoote'snephew
I'm more surprised by the omission of Owers to honest. Not even on the bench. He hasn't gone on a loan I'm unaware of has he? Or is he injured?
old_eastender
HT 0-0, City comfortably in control, but creating very few clear cut chances with all their possession.

RoystonFoote'snephew
0-0 HT. Its pretty much been all City without truly threatening the goal.

I think it's increased to 5 since the age was dropped from U23 to U21.

BLRed
Wilson not been great here so far. Touch and decision making a little off
RoystonFoote'snephew
Substitions of Bell and Backwell has made little difference so far. I know Rose is on and i'm not sure but the other sub was Porton or Acey. BLRed
Ben Acey who came on has showed great close control and ability to travel with the ball
RoystonFoote'snephew
Omar Taylor-Clarke has not had the best of games but I may be being too critical. It's too easy to forget that, overage players aside, most of the City team are closer to 18 than they are 21.

RoystonFoote'snephew
Won 1-0. Late winning header from Joe Low (I think).
old_eastender
0-1 FT, our mis-control of the final pass or when receiving the ball near the box, had been woeful, but finally we get the goal our overall game control deserved in the 94th minute. The Swan and Cemetery
Don’t see much of the young un’s, so hoping a bit of an off day. Sheff Wed looked toothless, but so did we, not sure many will be thumping on NP’s door demanding a first team place based on that. Klose solid enough and good to get 90 mins. Generally lots of poor decisions when we had the ball and a lack of energy (playing in a big, empty stadium can’t help). If based purely on performance, wouldn’t have subbed Backwell off. But guess a win’s a win.
cidered abroad
Yes it's a win and another step along the way for our hopefuls.

Just to mention that Wilson, Pring, Bell, were ineffective and I wouldn't think their performances did them any favours. RoystonFoote'snephew
Of the younger players Joe Low, who captained the side, was probably the most composed and therefore it was fitting he got the winner.

Interesting that Tins talks of Bell being on a similar level to Tommy, but nowhere near based on his performance today.
