Blackpool born referee to ref saturdays match against Preston

People say stuff like, 'oh he comes from Blackpool, he'll favour the northern club' but actually, coming from there, he's more likely to hate Preston.

Totally agree, he wouldn't have got anywhere near this fixture though if he had any connection with either side or a rival etc

Or possibly refuse a penalty to Blackpool

Got Blackpool on the brain! I meant that if he might detest Preston that much would he refuse them a penalty!

Preston are the team I would want our no penalty run to end against

The amount of subjective decisions which go against us versus them is totally ridiculous

This game for example was fully influenced by the ref. Two pens for Preston (one a Johnson dive, one a handball which is always debatable, a foul on our defender for their third, Diedhiou winner disallowed)

Reckon you're right, but let's see whether he comes onto the pitch overtly displaying either a tangerine-tan or plain lilywhite skin.
