Super Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 The kick-off time for City’s trip to the Swansea.com Stadium has been pushed back to Sunday, March 19th (12:30pm). The Sky Bet Championship encounter in South Wales will be pushed back to the early afternoon on Sunday from the original Saturday, March 18th (3pm) kick-off time at the request from South Wales Police. Mike Stone Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Probably because of the speed the Cardiff tickets sold out, put them on edge a bit 1 Quote

Shouldn't that be 'moved forward.' If it was pushed back it would be on Friday. International break follows this one, so already booked a flight for Monday (assumed match would be on the Sunday). 1 Quote

Pushed back to an earlier date wouldn’t! Edited February 9, 2023 by eardun 3 Quote
Loosey Boy Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Why is it that our games there get moved and yet they can come to Bristol for a 3pm Saturday KO? Ah well…..count me in still Quote
Lanterne Rouge Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Any chance it might be on Sky (or at least the red button) now? Quote
onehowie Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Can understand the change of kick off time, but why change the date? Bit arsed about this as have already booked train ticket for the Saturday. Quote

Flagon Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 I don’t understand how they and Cardiff seem to have so much freedom to move about as they please when attending our fixture. Loads of places they can gather and have a drink. When we go there it may aswell still be a bubble fixture. I went over for the cup game by coach. We would have been there with good time to spare to at least have a few drinks at the ground but had to stop at services for a police escort to stadium. So then only arrived 45 mins or so before kick off only to have one food and drink outlet open for the whole away support. Quote
firstdivision Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 I can understand supporters who’ve made arrangements being fed up with a relatively late change. But it’s actually beneficial to the team. We have Luton away on the preceding Wednesday evening. The change gives us an extra day’s preparation after a tough away match, especially off the back of a busy month. Swansea play on the Tuesday that week as well. They would have had an extra day’s rest plus no travel. 2 Quote

Pro players say they need three full days between games to recover sufficiently. Under the previous arrangement, Swansea would have that; we would not. Now we have three full days. Quote
