t_b
Three possible answers presented by Google Bard. This is “draft one”. Some obvious concerns… who is Tommy Casey and quite why does it think SWP ever played for us? The greatest Bristol City XI of all time is a difficult question to answer, as there have been many great players who have played for the club over the years. However, here is one possible lineup: * **Goalkeeper:** Steve Phillips (1997-2006) * **Defenders:** Louis Carey (1995-2014), Shaun Wright-Phillips (1997-2005), Tomas Kalas (2016-present), Joe Bryan (2012-2018) * **Midfielders:** Brian Tinnion (1993-2005), Tommy Casey (1939-1951), John Atyeo (1951-1966) * **Forwards:** Billy Wedlock (1901-1921), Andreas Weimann (2018-present), Tammy Abraham (2016-2017) This lineup includes a mix of players from different eras, all of whom have made significant contributions to the club. Phillips is one of the best goalkeepers ever to play for Bristol City, while Carey is a club legend who made over 600 appearances. Wright-Phillips and Bryan are two of the most talented full-backs to have played for the club, while Kalas is a solid center-back. Tinnion and Casey are two of the best midfielders in the club's history, while Atyeo is the club's all-time leading goalscorer. Wedlock is another club legend, while Weimann and Abraham are two of the most talented strikers to have played for Bristol City in recent years. This is just one possible lineup, and there are many other great players who could have been included. However, this team would be sure to give any opponent a run for their money.

Gazred
AI has a long way to go if it doesn't know who Gerry Gow is. He'd never fail to make a best 11, that's 'basic' information.

Steve Phillips in goal. Old flapper. Think we have had a few better than him.
Eddie Hitler
Tommy Casey played for us 1959-63 and had twelve NI caps prior to joining us. Obviously a decent player but it looks like the AI has leaned upon international appearances as he doesn't feature in the Post War period highlighted players in David Woods' The Bristol Babe. Maybe the sort of player who a neutral might pick at the time as they had heard of them through their international appearances. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Casey
Super
Prob make a case for Carey Tinnion Wedlock and Atyeo but that's it.
Silvio Dante
I always wondered who was the AI behind Google Bard. It’s @Deluded Sag, only Steve Phillips would pick himself in the best ever city team!

Might struggle with Atyeo in midfield and Wedlock up front. What the hell is Google Bard anyway?

cidered abroad
Tommy Casey was an Irish international midfield circa 1958/63. With Atyeo as midfield and Wedlock in attack, that tells me it's a load of rubbish especially as Gow and Tommy Burden left out of midfield. LondonBristolian
Even if Shaun Wright-Philips never played for us or played RB and I have no idea who Tommy Casey is, I still feel both were better for us than Steve Phillips…
