Jimbo123
9/2 to make the top 6 I believe, if anyone fancies our chances. Wouldn't waste a penny on the 40/1
OneTeamInBristol
Can't see Leicester being that high when half their squad clears off.
Bristol Rob
At 40/1 we've got to be worth an each-way bet (although it depends if the price moves out when we eventually lose Scott and before we bring anyone else in), and 9/2 for the Play-offs covering the wager for both bets. Simple. And this is why I've made billions from gambling. Absolutely billions I tell ya. Never go wrong. Can't fail. Sure as eggs is eggs, this is a licence to print money. *Looks down the back of the sofa for a few coins* 1
ralphindevon
Not bothered by being that low with the bookies after all I don’t suppose Coventry or Luton were that high this time last year. But below Cardiff and Birmingham?? Definitely top half for me.

It’s always the way….probably get more bets on them that they do on us, and bookies are gonna offer less attractive odds for them than they will for us. Undoubtedly Ipswich fans are doing “back early as the price will be lower going forwards” and they have a big fan base plus history.
cotswoldred2
40/1 is a reflection of where we are in the football pyramid...what a great job done post Alan Dicks.

We were probably 7 or 8 places better than predicted, same again this year hopefully.

Bristol Rob
7 minutes ago, ExiledAjax said: Genuinely do you think crowd size is factoring into the bookies odds? At this stage, they've probably lumped the following in to the 'odds generator' toolset. Last 12 games of last season Players sold in the last window Players signed in the last window and how effective they've been since Players likely to be sold in the summer Amount of money that a club could spend on new signings Amount of money that has previously been wagered on any given side so they understand their potential liability And then tweaked it a bit to try and make the odds look more appealing so that people like ourselves think.... 'Hmm, 40/1 - I like the sound of that as £20 would pay for my season ticket and some of my pre-match booze.... if we win the league' - before we part with our pocket money and never see a penny back.

Them and Birmingham who have a points deduction. Sheffield Wednesday don’t look that convincing, QPR and Plymouth are same odds as us. Then you have Ipswich being 6th favourite which screams of (what promoted team is most likely to do a Sunderland?)
GrahamC
9 minutes ago, chinapig said: Certainly the fact that Cardiff are in a state yet have better odds makes your point. 100%. 3 managers last season, no one appointed yet & they only stayed up because of points deductions elsewhere. Morison signed something mad like 15 players last summer, then got sacked early on & nearly all of them are under contract for next season. I understand why parachute payment sides are fancied more but this is utter horseshit, they are a shambles.
