Admin phantom Posted October 8, 2023 Admin Report Share Posted October 8, 2023 For anyone caught in the delays on the M5 last night, the motorway was closed both ways around Brockworth (junction 11a) this was due to the Barnsley team coach catching fire on the way back from Exeter Initially breaking down just before 8pm, before the coach burst into flames, fortunately nobody was hurt

1960maaan
Ever since I saw the first report, and for each mention , all I hear is .... " Your defence is terrified "
Edgy Red
Good news that everyone was ok but as Trigger famously once said..."isn't this coach fitted with a fire distinguisher" Edited October 8, 2023 by Edgy Red Spelling
italian dave
Wow, thanks @phantom. Wondered what the problem was last night: we ended up on a tour of the Gloucestershire countryside that would probably have been very pretty in daylight! RedLionLad
Not much left of the coach when we drove past, just a burnt out shell.
RedM
Saw this first hand, but from a distance, from the CATS coaches travelling back yesterday. Quite shocked to hear it was a car on fire, even more shocked when it was known to be the Barnsley Team coach. Happy to hear no one was hurt. We diverted off the motorway after being stuck in traffic, good call by our driver.
