Dastardly and Muttley
If Mark Robins becomes available, SL won’t be able to contain himself. He’ll be in within an hour and given a warchest. Then watch NP go to Coventry and beat us in the playoff final. 4 1

Honestly Nige now has the time to sort himself out , won’t be turning up anywhere in the near future, get himself fit is the priority

Not so sure, think Robins stock may have dropped a bit with the money spent and performance this season, although SL always seemed to have a sweet spot for him.
Davefevs
I think he’s a decent manager. I don’t think a guy that’s just signed a 4 year contract extension is gonna be coming here. I don’t Cov will sack him either.
mightyreds89
I think Lansdown does have a soft spot for Robins and also that he may do for us. I noticed after last weeks game on the Cov website that Robins name referenced a good few of our players as if he had an interest in limit squad before anyone says I know he’d have watched us but the detail was so much more than saying City have some good players or are strong in midfield etc.

Cov are a good side. They should have been 3-0 up against us in the first 30 minutes and they have played well against West Brom tonight. They have good players and their form will turn. Mark Robins has done an outstanding job in difficult circumstances and would be a great option for us, but there is very little chance of us getting him.

I don’t think he’s as good as people think. No idea how they got top 6 and only managed to go up as champions as league one was cut short due to Covid. He also signs the likes of Palmer who Nige had to let go for free!
GlastonburyRed
They have spent big money on some utter dross. Perhaps a better manager when there isn't cash to flash.

AppyDAZE
Great finish, but should've been flagged off. Add to that, Cov denied a nailed-on pen first half. Funn y old game.
HoldenBall
Coventry have spent their Gorockyes (spelt wrong) and Hamer money very poorly it seems. They look a shadow of last seasons side.
Denbury Red
I'd definitely take Robins - of those being suggested on the other thread he would beat them all! But as said with such a long contract can't really see it happening any time soon.

No confidence at all he has what it takes to get any team to the next level...just one of the many with none I'd chose to better NP.

Bris Red
Just now, And Its Smith said: He’s literally taken Coventry to the next two levels since he joined Arguably the next step is even harder though. Many managers can take teams through the lower leagues but hit their ceiling when they try and get a team from the championship to the prem. Nothing against Robins but as others have said he doesn’t give me anymore confidence that he will do a better job than Pearson did for us if he was to get the gig here. sunningdalered
I'd take him. Love the football cov play. They start converting a few of the chances they create and things will look very different.
Denbury Red
The one thing that perhaps Robins has over Pearson is the ability to manage his superiors - it's all well and good to have a great relationship with your piers and team - but if you can't manage upwards you will never remain in situ for any length of time. Whoever comes in - whilst they don't need to be a 'yes man' must know how to communicate any differences professionally and not wash their dirty washing in public when it is likely to anger those above. No doubt a difficult person to find - but hopefully someone is out there that fits!!
