Guest bristolbred
Do you think that Brian is really after another striker, the so called Targetman, and if so, who do you think that he has his eyes on?. Or do you think that one of the current squad members is ready to fill the role??. Thoughts please!,
Riaz
In the meantime Brian Tinnion should give Lee Miller a chance - he seems to do well when he's playing with Lita........

Guest Scrumpymeup
Lita and Miller to start with Gillespie to play just behind them. Heffernan will find his goal scoring touch but for now we play with the players that are going to earn us our 1st win and restore the confidence back for the team and the supporters. Come on City! Thoughts please!, ← To be honest, i think Tins said he needs a target man without really giving Lee a chance to prove he can be that for him. But Lee's two sub appearances lately have shown he can be that target man, and his 2 flicks have led directly to Lita scoring two. I think he might just be happy with his current group of strikers, with it just being a case of fine tuning, and the finding that right combination. When he does, City will scale the table easily. I like many would be shocked if its not a Miller/Lita strike force on Saturday, which means you have a 20 goal Heffernan, and a hungry matchwinner in Roberts on the bench, add to that Gillespie, its nice headache alot of managers in our division would like i think
Pewsham
Miller ought to be given a run of games to act as target man. The biggest target at the moment though is Tinnion himself

Guest Scrumpymeup
Just noticed on the bbc website that Sheffield Wednesday have upped their bid for Luke Beckett! "Stockport snub Beckett bid" Stockport boss Sammy McIlroy insists he has no intention of selling Luke Beckett to Sheffield Wednesday. Reports suggested the Owls were preparing an improved bid for the striker, who has scored four goals in County's first three games. "Sheffield Wednesday made a bid in the close season for Luke which was not even worth talking about, as far as I'm concerned," said McIlroy. "I want Luke to stay at Stockport and Luke knows how I feel." McIlroy added: "He is a great player and I think he and Warren Feeney have the potential to be lethal up front in this division this season." My opinion is we still have the potential of the best strikers in the league with Miller, Heffernan and Lita. Gillespie looks like he will become a great addition too and the longer Roberts is left out the hungrier he is going to be when he gets on. Once the goals come for these guys then that will start the move up the table. Come on City!
bcfcchris2016
We have Lee Miller .Put him up front on saturday. Forget this target-man because i just can't see it happening now.
Guest hairyshamrock
Lets be thankful that the "target man" talk has died down - now maybe they get on with replacing Aaron Brown, or someone on the left wing! Although as soon as i saw the Luke Beckett headlines yesterday i knew it'd be back soon! Isn't there enough for Tins to deal with for now??!! I did like the comment about him being the main target at the moment!
