cidered abroad
He was a part timer similar to John Atyeo as was training to be a school teacher. Played outside right in the side in late 1950's and moved on for a couple of seasons at Bath City when Malcolm Allison was beginning his managerial career. Became a teacher at Ashton school just over the road from the City ground. RIP Derek and thanks. 3

Aberdeen Pete's Dad Posted Friday at 15:50 Report Share Posted Friday at 15:50 Very sorry to read this. Always wanted to meet him but never did so. My first football game was City v Sunderland 25.10.58. We won 4-1 and he scored twice. It was the only time that he did so and was probably the game of his life. He came in to the team at outside right because Wally Hinshelwood was injured. If he did not do what he did that day my life may well have been different ! I am eternally grateful !
