My usual at clevedon is a cheeseburger, fries and snickers duo. £4 for the lot. Class.

Cracking game in the 9th tier on Friday night, 1,136 fans in attendance to see Bury win 5-2 against 2nd place Chadderton to go top of the North West Counties League Premier Division for Christmas...

Despite Manchester just a tram ride away, those Bury fans have stuck with their club. 👍

Peak non-league. Hartlepool v Yeovil suspended due to health and safety concerns over a dislodged advertising board. Strong wind.
PA announcement: “We are working to rectify the damage safely.”
Reality: Two men jump on the roof and rip it off. Game on!

And today they beat Chippenham.

Meanwhile Weston s M were winning at Truro, but conceded an equaliser in stoppage time. That 1-1 does neither team any favours

Apparently Melksham had over 1k at their game today, which is a phenomenal gate.

Yate and BMF drew, sending the decent following from Sea Mills home happy with their cup final point.

I thought Britton looked like a very good player, absolutely wasting his time in Southern League. Didn’t see ball anywhere near as much as he should have today.

Excellent win for Yate today away at Bishops Cleeve. Their three nearest challengers all lost so after dropping a few points themselves lately they've re established a large 10 point lead at the top of the table 👏

Believe they were short of a couple of players today as well. I see that Wayne Nderemani came on as sub around the hour mark. He played 80 mins for Paulton on boxing day. He is on dual reg as not getting much game time with Yate this season.

Is he a left back?

He is a winger really but can play left back as he did on boxing day for Paulton.

Ah ok. I’m sure I saw him in one of the FA cup qualifiers and thought he looked a handful.

Boisterous game in the Western League Div1: Bitton 2-2 Cadbury Heath. Heath went 2-0 up playing down the slope, with their keeper going off after a bad knock. Bitton came back to draw after a better second half. Fair crowd too, seeing as there were few other games on after the Boxing Day schedule.

Was also at Cossham Street for this one, just gaining circulation back in my feet as I type.

You would have heard my voice, I was on the announcements although technical issues meant the pre-match announcement failed to broadcast properly but from the 3rd minute goal it was all loud and clear.  Good, tight game. Mangos slightly fortunate George Neil wasn't pulled up for a foul in the lead up to Morrison's early winning goal

Their manager was going quite spare ! When you made the first announcement of a WR sub,              i honestly thought (with your broad Mango accent) that instead of Worcester Raiders, you said Bristol ROVERS, I was just about to storm out !😛

edit : Didn't hear the attendance today, seemed pretty good, what was it, please ?

Hi there, ah right, I know who you are, we met at half time (Martin - GFA).

Happy New Year to you, didn't get chance to say cheerio at the end.

Ah hello Martin, thanks for the help with the substitution I missed. Worcester Raiders had replaced the number 3 with the 14, then when I looked up again I saw 3 for 14 again so thought it was the same substitution when it was 8 for 14, but as the board was by then at an angle the 8 looked like a 3.

Best of luck to Yeovil for the rest of the season and see you at the GFA in the new year.

Torquay beat Truro 1-0 to retain top spot in National League South. Of course they’re being helped by everyones favourite manager, Neil Warnock, who is their football advisor. The crowd of 5135 was pretty good.

Marley Rose, Brandon Bak and Raphael Araoye have all returned to City after loan spells at Weston.

What is going on at Weston?

Only a few weeks ago they seemed favourites to win the League, but they have plummeted recently.

Why?

They were in a massively false position, the full time sides are currently finding their way to the top of the league

A huge effort at Rovers, go 120 minutes when it should’ve been a replay. Quite a natural drop off from teams after losing tight ‘huge effort’ games commonly - ala us and Man Utd/Wolves!!!

It was a 9 hour, 500 mile round trip for Mousehole AFC on Saturday as they travelled to Malvern Town 🚍 the Team from Cornwall enjoyed their trip winning 3-2 with a goal late on. 👏🏻
Snow was also forecast to fall around much of the UK, but thankfully for both clubs, it held off until after the Match. ❄️
A shout out to Malvern Town as well who laid on Packed Dinner boxes for the long journey back to Cornwall for the whole Mousehole team and their supporters! 👏🏻
What a first class gesture that is!
Non league football is special! 🤝
The die hard Mousehole fans and the team arrived back in to Penzance at 12.30am

No idea, toyed with heading down there and almost wish I had to find out. No doubt there’ll be news on the grapevine soon.

I’ll find out tomorrow.  Apparently same guy kicked off at the previous match between the two.

Four from Glos and three from Somerset.

Last but one on that list is Trowbridge. I remember when they got into The Conference (as was) and their first game away to Altrincham. They were the best non league team around, but Trowbridge won 1-0. 👍

Wasn't that when Alan Birchinall had something to do with them /

You might be right; I think for some games Trowbridge had three midfielders who had played  in Div 1.

Rollercoaster game on the 3G at Shellards Road. Shirehampton went 2-0 up early in the second half before Longwell hit three. The visitors equalised midway through but the Green nicked a winner around the 90 minute mark. Lively performances by both sides and worth the visit after the Wolves match.

Portishead in the FA Vase this weekend

Got pumped.

Roman Glass through to the last 16 with Jennison Myrie-Williams & Chris Lines in midfield! One of my close mates is their top scorer this season, so really hoping they keep on winning & make it to the final.

What is Roman Glass' budget ffs?
