Claverham_Red Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 It has to be said that City's team lacks height. And also last year we were grinding out results (1 nils and two-ones) and that proved to be boring but effective. From these two teams we have height in all areas and also we still have that attacking flair ---------Phillips ----Coles---Butler----Hill Murray---Orr---Doherty--Fortune--Bell ---------Lita---Miller Or ---------Phillips Smith---Coles---Butler---Bell Murray---Doherty---Fortune---Goodfellow --------Lita---Miller
Claverham_Red Posted August 21, 2004 Author Posted August 21, 2004 So with Luke Wilkshire back he has to play instead of Tinnion and in my first team I posted I would have him instead of Bradley Orr.
Tunley Legend Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 So when exactly did we stop playing boring football - today was it? Oh I forgot, the end to end edge of the seat stuff had me gripped for 90 minutes and we were so unlucky not to win 23-22.
Guest bugs Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 boring football is all I've seen city play so far this season!
wayne allisons tongues Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 Tin man pre season promised attacking football we have not seen it yet. Trouble is by trying to attack he is leaving us open constantly down the wings and we always look dodgy at setpieces worse than last year. Less atack more negative last season may of been dull some times but we got pretty close to our aim of promotion.
Tunley Legend Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 The keeper/back four were the biggest problem today. Nothing to do with all-out attack or the system (which I couldn't work out anyway). Today was just a shambles. Hopefully, never to be repeated.
Guest city red ed Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 this would be my first team -Phillips ---- smith butler hill bell ---- murray wilkshire doherty goodfellow -- Lita Gillespie
Guest Neilio Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 I disagree totally... If we are going too loose id much rather see city playing some nice looking football than the boring $hite going on all the moment, all we do is hoof, jump , miss the header, win the header, hoof, loose the header, etc etc
Tunley Legend Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 Doesn't seem too bad except I wouldn't have Matt Hill in my starting eleven. That said, Coles is a poser who is believing his own publicity and has forgot that playing simple and defending well were the qualities that made people think he could play at a higher level. At the moment, no chance!
Guest Neilio Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 And today's game was really exciting ← I lvoe your avatar , but after all these years does it seem that Tinman was offside when he scored the great liverpool goal...
