Absolutely over the moon. Shame its not at home but will be even better to turn them over on their own (well the stolen) turf.

Got to think that there's going to be a load of City fans in the away end at the Mem for this one.

Horrible tie for Rovers to navigate.

I could have sworn Newport were the last team out, I thought the lady said something along the lines of "Their should be one ball left and that's Newport"

Gas v Weston and MK Franchise vs Wimbledon obviously the stand out games in round 1 so I fully expect the Wrexham and Birmingham games to be shown on TV

That’s funny, and also sadly true.

The BBC also has a special FA Cup programme where they cover about 10-12 games on the Sunday afternoon constantly going for updates

Not sure there'd be much interest away from this area.

No doubt Birmingham and Wrexham will be live

McCall drew Newport’s ball, was presenter was a bit slow and didn’t announce Newport until Webber was drawing the last ball.

Do they still have that?

No replays so might get a few ties going to penalties.

Some good TV potential ties.

Agree with you on Birmingham who are away and there will be the "Wimbledon derby"!

i can see the logic of Tamworth v Huddersfield too and Northampton v Kettering is about as local a derby as you can get (16 miles) - although on that basis the s*gs v Weston should qualify too but I doubt the powers that be even know they`re close together.

Hardly the magic of the cup is it?

Sadly chasing the viewing figures rather than the "magic of the cup"

Football purists would much rather watch games of teams not often shown live, the shame is up to this round the BBC have shown "smaller" clubs on the red button / iPlayer but chuck all that out of the window now the FA Cup starts getting bigger named clubs in the competition

It's just the same how Man Utd get nearly every game on the TV in the cups

That was like predicting Man Utd will be shown

They will both be live in round 2 as well if they both progress

Yes heard that at Torquay away last season

The chant actually originated from Bridlington Vs Tiverton FA Vase final at Wembley, a couple of us were at the game and Bridlington fans were chanting it, brought it back to Weston the following season and for a while was chanted, but remember the club were not overly happy about "mafia" being used in a chant... good to see it still pops up all these years later

According to Facebook, they reckon half have been sold to City fans !

Certainly a few City fans would have bought tickets, but very likely they also follow both sides

Yes agree, many who follow Weston also support a league club. I enjoy both.

For those with a hankering for the past. The shirts look so much better without  an advert splashed across the front. Players were also able to play as no tight marking.
