Don’t get why anyone wouldn’t want Rovers at home. The last derby was bloody ages ago!

Well, we need to play them away. Remember how they kept telling us that 'they've got their stadium' - so it'll be a new ground for everyone as surely they have finished it by now......

Amazing isn`t it? They`ve managed to build it without any disruption to the public whatsoever.

It`s almost as if nothing at all is happening.........................

Why are the third round matches being played over the second weekend in January. Not the first weekend, as normally happens?

Perhaps it`s a bit close to NYD? That`s on the Wednesday and there`s a full programme. No doubt TV will want one or more third round games on the Friday so it would cock up a lot of NYD fixtures and the clubs wouldn`t like it.

Only one non-league side through up to now, Dagenham & Redbridge. Tamworth, Harborough and Solihull Moors still playing/to play.

Tamworth through on pens, Harborough out, Solihull still playing but 2-1 down.

If it is only two non league sides through that seems lower than normal to me.

I thought that earlier, very unusual to have so few non league teams through at this stage

Without checking, assuming the scrapping of replays has played a factor in this? Added fitness for the league side in extra time versus the non league sides? I.e. Weston v Rovers in the 1st round, Weston would have given Rovers another bloody good game in the home replay.

I'd prefer a cup run to "a day out". Let's have City at home to the lowest placed team left in the competition.

Maybe fitness has told with some of teams games going to ET.

Great effort by Harborough for example.

It's what they do. Apparently.

Yep. Let’s save Spurs away for the quarter final.

We don't want the 15ers.

Having seen how spawny they can be, (the Gary Smart game), you just know that history could easily repeat itself.

Total domination from City, with some below par finishing, coupled with their keeper having the game of his life, and then they score with their only shot at goal in the 88th minute.

And then have to suffer them going on about it until we next play them in 30+ years.

No thankyou.

We even put David Mehew in goal for part of that game and you still couldn't score. How shit must you be :)

Smarty is still dining out on that one  :)

Couldn’t believe the result that day, it just summed up our results against you over a 10 year period, it was as one-sided as our game against Plymouth on Saturday

The draw will take place from 7pm GMT tonight (Monday, December 2) live from Old Trafford, home of FA Cup holders Manchester United.

BBC Two will be broadcasting the draw from 7pm GMT. There will also be a live stream on BBC iPlayer and the official FA Cup social media channels. Bristol Live will also be running a live blog.

I've got a funny feeling that we will draw the gas away, it's a long time since we played them. If I'm right it will be a shame to play at the Mem, as no replays anymore and thousands of our fans will be locked out. Still we will probably get a non league team away, knowing our luck with cup draws.

Personally I'd like the Gas (never thought I'd put that in a sentence unless "to go down" follows it).  Only my eldest of my two sons has experienced a game against them - back when JET scored that screamer.  I'd love for my youngest (who's now 21) to get the same experience.

Everton, Newcastle or Spurs away for me. Not interested in adding to Rovers coffers, plus we have nothing to gain and potentially alot to lose playing that lot. We wouldn’t hear the bloody end of it should it happen.

I'd be happy to never play them again.

It is THEIR little wet dream to have a derby game against us, let them ******* earn one!

TBF to us, I think that game was a bit of an outlier. As I recall, we were just better than you in those type of games during that period. I was friendly with a few of the squad at the time, and was out with one of them last week when the subject of the 3-0 in 1990 came up (Obviously if you put 2 Rovers fans in a pub, that subject comes up within 5 minutes :) ) It sounds a bit cliched , but he was adamant that particular game was won in the tunnel and that while City had better individual players around that time, a good number of them simply weren't up for it.

We don’t disagree on much, but I don’t.

2 season ending injuries are guaranteed & a horrible, scruffy game of football that we’d probably win by a single goal, only to be told we should have won by more.

I have seen enough awful days against them to never want to play them again.

I don't think I've ever seen us play Spurs or Arsenal so one of those at home would be nice.

Gas every time if we could guarantee a victory.

Otherwise not really too bothered.

I want a top Premier League club like Arsenal or Liverpool. Not one of the lesser Prem sides like Southampton or Man City.

Absolutely. And set their tickets at £50 a head too. 😂

Very simple - we should hope for the fixture that gives us the best chance of progressing to the next round (ideally with the opportunity to rest some of our players).

Tamworth, Harrogate, Dagenham & Redbridge, or Bromley please.

It seemed that way on the night, for me Taylor missing the last six games sealed our fete, ultimately whoever are top of the table after 46 games are deserving winners irrespective of injuries, bad luck or other elements

I reckon all the extra cash we'd make would need to be spent on policing though 😂
