just having his minutes managed?

I think this.

Their Manager spoke highly of him so I think he wants him to see the season out . It's in everyones interest to ease him back.

Made three subs at half time, including the keeper.

Reading social media sounds like none impressed

Wasn’t a corner for Villa’s first .

Just the luck they needed

Ref made two blunders there, missed the one that should have been a corner then gave a corner that never was

"Is Atkinson playing? Hmmm… hopefully the rubbish around him is to blame!"

"Yes he looks as bad as the rest of them"

Premier league quality telling in some games so far.

Just checked but are Aston Villa v West Ham and  Arsenal v Man United the only all PL matches in the 3rd round?

So, Southampton v Swansea tomorrow will decide if our game on Feb 8th goes ahead….thats the date for 4th round.  Is that right?

Correct

Leicester 6 QPR 2 was an eight goal thriller according to the BBC 😕

I remember many years ago watching City lose 6-3 at Bury on a Tuesday night and the WDP the next day saying `City and Bury shared nine goals at Gigg Lane`

Up to now, I think it`s only Plymouth and Exeter who have beaten a side from a higher division.

Definitely odd how few "upsets" there has been this season. Equally odd how few non league teams got through to the later rounds

Hakeeb Adelakun (remember him?) playing now on BBC for Salford v Man City

Has a vibe of City fans supporting Weston at Rovers about this game... Utd fans there to support Salford and berate Man City

What's Ryan Giggs doing shaking hands with Pep after the game before the assistant manager and other coaches have? Horrible rat bastard

He was caught right at the start of the second half... He was chatting with Robinson when some blonde lady walked past, he stopped paying attention to Robinson and his eyes followed the lady... He will never change

Because Prem teams now tend to go full strength, or close to, as we saw yesterday.

Gone are the days of them playing a second string side.

Ultimately good for the competition, but it will mean less upsets due to the gulf in class between the Prem and other divisions.

Ange getting pelters from the fans behind the dugout and now the net has broken. Love the cup!

Brings back memories of us playing Tamworth away in Cotts' first game in charge. That was live on ITV as well.

I watched the YouTube highlights yesterday, had forgotten about Jets wonder strike.

Really enjoying the Tamworth game. Absolutely love FA Cup games like this. Just a shame the greedy bastards got rid of replays

Yep. Terrible for lower league clubs. Fixture congestion, my arse.

Yeah, I had a look out of curiosity, Nottingham Forest played 1 more game across the whole season in 79-80 than Man City did when they had their treble season few years back.

This is all about more foreign tournaments in the summer, more European games and more internationals.

What a 90 minutes from Tamworth!

That lad who had the chance at the end will be dreaming of that for a few weeks

Tamworth have been terrific.

Spurs awful .

FA probably hoping someone scores before the end otherwise the no replay debate will open up .

In this instance I can see both sides.

Previously this would have been a well earned draw for Tamworth and now a nice day out at an amazing stadium for their fans, but almost certain defeat in the replay.

Now they have another 30 minutes with Spurs rattled, at home, and the chance of a penalty shootout lottery that Spurs will be absolutely fearing.

I think their chances of pulling off an almighty shock are increased this way.

Even in the early rounds the league 1 and league 2 sides, in the main, over ran the non league clubs in extra time due to fitness etc

Feel for the Tamworth fans and players. Should be looking forward to the away leg, yet are now losing.

Modern football really is shit.

Both absolutely grim.

Agreed they deserved that away replay at Spurs.

Fair play to Arsenal having their annual "no room for red" match shirt in recognition of fighting knife crime

Do they all go through scanners at the turnstiles?
