I wouldn't think they'd want or like that. Plus he's hardly pulling up trees , 3 goals in 10 starts (17 times in squad), ok but not screaming bring me back . As a fan it would add interest , but not sure he's what we need to kick on to the top 6. Loved to be proved wrong on that one though. 2 Quote

My understanding a week ago was it was 50/50 whether he got recalled & potentially loaned out to a League One team or he stayed in Scotland. However as I have posted recently the Mayulu situation & Cornick effectively being frozen out might well have changed that. Don’t think there would be any serious pressure on him (with no experience of Championship football at all) or anyone sane is realistically expecting him to “save our season” but with several of our strikers disappointing it would be instructive to see how he did, probably initially from the bench. 1 1 Quote

I’m with you, surely at least 2 of 3 (Cornick Mayulu Armstrong) would have to depart for this to make any sense. I can see Cornick leaving/being forced out. Maybe we’ll get some “homesick and off on loan” line about Mayulu…. maybe Armstrong’s injury is an “injury” and there’s some League 1 club desperate to take a non-scoring centre forward on loan…… but I doubt it! Quote
Nogbad the Bad Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 He's City through and through so would battle for everything and run until he drops. He would be desperate to contribute, though undoubtedly from the bench initially. He really can't be any worse than Armstrong and Mayulu and he's a goalscoer and if he gets a goal, however it comes, like all forwards his confidence would surge. Expectations would be realistic but the crowd would be massively behind him and he might just surprise us. 4 1 2 Quote
samo II Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 I’d have thought it would depend somewhat on what happens the next three games - we take 7/9 points and look legitimately like possible playoff contenders, might benefit him more staying on loan to avoid being thrust into a high pressure situation. But we struggle, my sense would be if he’s possibly due to be involved next year, bring him back now and accelerate that development by half a season. 3 Quote
Lrrr Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 (edited) This is their 6th loan, from a club with a partnership as well, on top of 2 loans from Burnley where they have a partnership, if all 3 of those make every match day squad it leaves Seb fighting with 2 others for 2 loan spots in the match day squad Edited December 22, 2024 by Lrrr 3 Quote

I’m not saying he isn’t coming back but even with a new player I’d back him to make their match day squad. Quote

Silvio Dante Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Been impressive thus far. The “bit” I’ve really liked is the movement and the demanding of the ball, indicating where he wants it constantly. The latter is indicative of a bit more confidence that your average player of Sebs age. Ultimately the work rate is good but it’s that which tips him into strong prospect territory. On this, wouldn’t be unamenable to having him back and letting Dundee have Fally for the second half of the season. Quote

They've cut right back on policing at football in Scotland due to cost. At Hibs v Dundee in August it was a "police free" day and I didn't see any trouble, despite over 1k Dundee in attendance. Heavy punishments for causing trouble, pyro banned, and no booze for sale in grounds helps. Quote

I think with the service he would get from our midfield he'd score a few important goals, but given where we are theres no pressure on him to do so. Quote
