Tomo Posted Sunday at 20:23 Share Posted Sunday at 20:23 (edited) We are consistently average and nothing will really change this season. We won't get relegated and we won't get promoted. Expect around 1.3ppg to 1.4ppg all season, our average of consistency = Mid table. Job done. Edited Sunday at 20:24 by Tomo

He's clearly not a natural finisher - of course,, he has time on his hands & hopefully this aspect of his game will improve.. I can see why the QPR support were saying he misses chances for fun. One man went.... I can see why the QPR support were saying he misses chances for fun. It's a difficult one. On one hand I think he's just the type of unit we've been missing. Pace, power and strength. Runs channels always offering an outlet. Big lump defenders must hate playing against him. But on the other hand he seems to lose his head inside the 18 yard box. Maybe it's the pressure of the situation when bearing down on the goalkeeper or over excited about scoring. I don't know. But he needs to either start putting his foot through the ball or using a dink as the keeper closes down on him. At the moment he does neither. Coaching can help to a certain extent but it's very difficult to create a real game experience on the training pitch. Composure in front of goal is what differentiates the top strikers and the adequate ones. Comparisons to Semenyo are fair in lots of ways but Semenyo had a thunderous shot on him. Just lacking the direction on many occasions. Top coaches can work with that.
Sir Geoff Posted Monday at 09:11 Share Posted Monday at 09:11 Ian, "Mehmeti was man of the match on twitter but I never look at that or take any notice of it." I don't do Twitter but from comments on here I thought he was on it all the time. 2

He normally advertises that his match report is on that platform.

Sir Geoff Posted Monday at 15:38 Share Posted Monday at 15:38 Lucky you aren't on the board if you think 13 points from 9 is acceptable, Dave. Last season we had 12 points from 9 and won the 10th game (so 15 from 10). The following week the manager was asked to resign (as results weren't good enough) despite losing by the odd goal Away to Leeds. I suggest Liam has to to do better than that. I'm looking for at least 15 points from 9 games. And 18 from 11. 3
