My Autobiography, Your Autobiography

Everyone’s (only) favourite gashead has his autobiography published today. Aptly titled “Top Man” if anyone’s thinking of an early Christmas present I would imagine it’s decent reading. Plus, he’s a bit of a good egg on the whole and is missed on RB for how he’d press the hierarchy so only fair to give him a shout

(No, I’m not on commission)

Agreed. Is there a more respected ex Gas player than GT? Are there any others?! 😂

Always had a grudging respect for Andy Tillson, decent player & a class act.

Seemed far too good for them.

When's Phil Purnell doing one?

Random but true, Purnell is currently employed as a financial advisor by a former (Rovers supporting) classmate of mine.

Can’t imagine that tome would rival Gazza’s for revelations.

Chapter 3, how I sorted out the pension of a bloke in Frampton Cotterell..

Gary Hamson also a financial advisor, I somehow discovered. I think I'd use him over Phil, to be fair. Wonder what Vaughan Jones does with himself these days ....

I’m sure Vaughan Jones used to be an estate agent or mortgage broker. I recall years ago when I started in financial services seeing the name and was told it was the same guy.

Not as good a career as Kenny Stroud, who it must be remembered, “runs a guest house in Swindon”.

It's what he's remembered for, running a guest house while still a player, scoring against the Few, and a goal of the month/season v Everton in the FA Cup  (for Swindon).
