If I was a manager going to utd there's wouldn't be many in that squad I'd want to keep! Trouble is didn't Ten Hag try to do that with Ajax players and it hasn't worked out,

He was (still is?) playing for Nailsea and Tickenham after being released by City.

The Dutch League in comparison is dreadful. The centre half, Ousmane Diomande is bloody excellent, for example.
ExiledAjax Posted Tuesday at 13:52 Share Posted Tuesday at 13:52 (edited) 2 points per game average is pretty much what these top PL clubs look for. Anything less and you're not lasting long. Incredibly punishing. Edited Tuesday at 13:52 by ExiledAjax
Sweeneys Penalties Posted Tuesday at 14:12 Share Posted Tuesday at 14:12 Perhaps they should approach Aberdeen for their manager. The last bloke they had from there did alright
Bazooka Joe Posted Tuesday at 14:48 Share Posted Tuesday at 14:48 Anyone know the connection between Erik Ten Hag and Irene Dense Sag ?

Admin Phantom Posted Tuesday at 15:56 Admin Share Posted Tuesday at 15:56 Sporting Lisbon have announced to the Portuguese stock exchange that Utd have met their release clause amount This is starting to move very fast
MythikRobins Posted Tuesday at 15:57 Share Posted Tuesday at 15:57 If they get can get Ruben Amorim and then somehow he convinces Gyokeres to move with him. It'll be a very fun watch what an unbelievable player he is.

Baba Yaga Posted Tuesday at 19:52 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:52 They have been a shadow of what they were for over a decade now and to be honest I still don't find it boring seeing them struggle. I expect the next guy has to be better than Ten Hag though.
Charlie BCFC Posted Tuesday at 20:09 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:09 At the very least United have improved the footballing structure to give the new guy a chance to succeed. Sounds great Amorim but so did Ten Hag so interesting to see what happens

The summer recruitment looks poor and the way they handled the manager's situation with the end of season review, chatting to other managers, through to a new contract, was surely under the watch of the new C-Suite, even if technically Dan Ashworth was on gardening leave during June 2024. I'm sure he was at very least a consulted voice. You wouldn't appoint a sporting director 3 days after extending the contract of his direct report without his sign off. SecretSam Posted Wednesday at 12:21 Share Posted Wednesday at 12:21 If I were Amorim, I'd hang on for the Man City job. ManUre are a hot mess, and having the ego-fest of Ineos (Radcliffe the tax-dodger, Brailsford the credit-grabber) will only add to the horror show.

They’ve done a lot of work of sorting the board. As you mentioned Ashworth came in, Southampton director of football came in under him who has a good record with the Man City academy aswell and then brought in the CEO from Man City. Think you can take the window with a pinch of salt as it’s still early days, but also the likes of De Ligt and Mazraoui seemed like Ten Hag signings with the weird rule he had with signing former Ajax players. So think they deserve more time to see if they improve under a new manager
Midred Posted Wednesday at 21:27 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:27 Coincidence or not, Manure are winning 5 - 2 tonight. Perhaps one or two of the players need sacking as well?

Midred Posted Friday at 13:16 Share Posted Friday at 13:16 Now announced, will join them in the international break. I can see Sporting doubling the value of their players now if they think utd will be buying a job lot!
