Jimbo76 Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I know this isn't a great time to discuss it, as we seem to have a habit lately of losing games by the odd goal when maybe we deserve more , but I've had it with time wasting. Other sports have a clock for when the ball is in play. It's miserable and frustrating when you're losing and it's not exactly entertaining even if you're the team doing the time wasting. But, however you look at it, I go to a game or watch it on TV for entertainment (hopefully), not to watch a player deliberately untie his own laces or a keeper pretend to have cramp or a player kick a second ball on the pitch. I know it won't change but I honestly think if I could eradicate one thing from the game, it would be that. Rant over. P.s. Great first half, we cant finish, Anis makes bad decisions but played well, Pring blocked for goal, haven't felt so frustrated with a result in a long time. Good news, I'm taking my youngest on Saturday and he's never gone to anything other than City wins. Quote
BCFCGav Posted November 26 Posted November 26 It is entertaining when you’re winning. I love it when we do it well. We’re bad at coping when it’s done against us. We get worse. Play in to it, almost. Can’t put my finger on it. 1 Quote
Dastardly and Muttley Posted November 26 Posted November 26 It cost Watford against Plymouth on Friday. Unfortunately Plymouth have more of a cutting edge. 1 Quote
CityGill Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I saw a suggestion, I think it was in MLS, that they were going to trial players having to go off the field for two minutes and be assessed if they required a stoppage in play for an injury. Thoughts? Quote

Multiply instances like that throughout the game and who knows how much more play there would have been. Quote

Or luck/ex player against us! Yes I can see why it's annoying and tbh rather we went for the second goal as we're never that good at holding the ball up in the corner etc. But I suppose it's seen as part of the game now and they appear to have given up on that extra long injury time thing. 1 Quote
1960maaan Posted Wednesday at 09:02 Posted Wednesday at 09:02 What happened to the EFL suggestion of timed 50/55 minutes playing time ? I thought that wasn't nearly enough until I looked into it, I think the average playing time in England was 45 minutes. Has to be easier to time "playing time" than whatever we have at the moment. Takes away all the arguments of injuries , subs, time wasting etc. 1 Quote
