Tim S Posted Wednesday at 19:15 Posted Wednesday at 19:15 City legend and record appearance holder, Louis Carey, is hosting a coach to the West Brom game on Sunday 22nd December. It's a twist on the usual "An evening with" style of event by combining it with coach travel to an away game. Louis will be sharing stories on the mic from his City career, many of them both hilarious and interesting as well as answering questions from fans throughout the journey before joining fans in the away end at The Hawthorns. After the game, he'll give his thoughts on the match during the trip back to Bristol, hopefully after a decent result! Tickets are just £30 - only a fraction more than the official CATS coaches - but you get Louis Carey thrown in too! Places are limited as there is only one Louis Carey to go around so therefor only one coach with the unique away day opportunity! Buy your tickets here: https://buytickets.at/anawaydaywith/1475505 West Brom match tickets are on sale from tomorrow, so secure your travel early to avoid disappointment! Plus, there is another one of these trips planned in the new year with a very big name lined up... join us on this trip for the chance to get priority on the next trip. 4 2 Quote
Henry Posted Wednesday at 19:40 Posted Wednesday at 19:40 I wonder if Carey will be more appreciated as years go on. He’s our record appearance holder but I think fans are a bit ‘meh’ to him. Not sure many will want to share a coach with him. 3 4 Quote

Never to the dark side Posted Thursday at 04:15 Posted Thursday at 04:15 Its a great idea,so I suggest getting all the seats turned round(not including the driver of course) so Louis is at the back of the coach and the wind can then dissipate out the back door. Maybe on the return a recording of the Alamo match from Wednesday 17th March 1976 could be played/shown which more or less took us up to the top flight Quote
Oh Louie louie Posted Thursday at 05:30 Posted Thursday at 05:30 Louis would make a good coach steward anybody plays up they get the jack Lester treatment, on a serious note fair play to him for doing this Quote

Still remember some bloke in the Dolman who used to blast out ‘Louie!!!’ every time he came near. 1 Quote

I’m still fuming he was arguing with the ref in the phase leading up to their winner in the freight rover. I still think he had a bit to much to say in and out of the dressing room during his time. 2 Quote

Tony Tootle Posted Saturday at 10:33 Posted Saturday at 10:33 I liked him as a player but agree with others, he can hardly be classed as a Bristol City legend. Also I know that in private he was a bit of a **** in the past. Perhaps he’s changed. 1 Quote
Mallorcan Red Posted Saturday at 12:36 Posted Saturday at 12:36 Knew his Dad, met Louis and his lovely partner then wife a few times at the pub where his Dad was best mates with the landlord. Proper Bristol, absolutely City through and through. Captained our best league team since the seventies. Even though he had his fair share of injuries still ended up with club record appearances. He certainly has a spot in any team of all time City greats. Quote
