Forget Manning, Tinnion out.

I felt he was quite respectful when NP left, I also didn’t get the impression he made the decision as it was fronted by JL

He made comments around deconditioning. I won’t say what I know about the medical/fitness side post Nige as it could get people fired. People criticising Liam the other day when he mentioned it were barking in the wrong field not up the wrong tree though.

Again I believed the deconditioninng comment to be JL

Better plot twist would be RoyDeAlien actually being Brian Tinnion.

Now you mention it, I think Brian and Roy's hit-rate with announcing Bristol City "done deals" is quite similar!

I’m pretty sure Tinnion mentioned it too. I’ve said all I’m saying though.

I can’t say I’d be totally opposed to someone sliding into my DM’s Sol Campbell style and informing me about anything at all that they may wish to let me know.

It goes without saying, that like my hero Ian Gay, I promise to defend you endlessly and go out to bat for you whenever necessary in exchange for this information.

Please let this be true. If someone of Rob Newman’s stature was in place I’d have much more faith that the football side was being ran properly . If it is true 🤞🏻the signing of the strikers alone would be enough for the sack imo

No no no! Get someone in who is unconnected to the club! It's where we've gone wrong for so many years.

JL said the deconditioned bit.  Think Tinnion said “we are now gonna train for the way we play”

Oh we lost the classics section. Who was it that was cat-fished into meeting "her" at AG one game?

You mean like we did when we appointed Mark Ashton

.....and then appointed someone whose footballing philosophy is the antithesis to that way we play

If by 'quite respectful' you mean the driving force behind sacking off a competent coaching/medical team, then I agree.

It was fronted by JL because he is the most senior person at the club.

If that was the way it was then fair enough but my recollection is slightly different. Doesn’t matter though.

However anyone feels about this if true, it’s once again a messy situation. Where does this leave Manning? Did Tinnion appoint him? Are the club happy with him? All seems a bit ridiculous to be sacking our technical director in late December

Thinking more of Tinnion in the first place!

I was told tonight he was told to take time off. Nothing about him being booted out as of yet

Edit : (I suppose this is what was meant as Gardening Leave as above)

Not if he has done something that is classed as gross misconduct

Yeah get that, it’s still not ideal though is it timing wise. January approaching, business being planned for the summer and now all this, nothing is ever smooth at this football club

So he has allegedly been on Gardening Leave since we got soundly beaten down at Portsmouth…

I wouldn't have trusted him with another dime to be fair - but yeah you are right, nothing seems to go smoothly

Of course you might be right, but that the quote I have scribbled down in my notes.  He has said a lot of things, hasn’t he?

Amazingly running a multi-million pound business via a committee made up of inexperienced and under qualified individuals leads to sub optimum outcomes, who knew…

Why would we tell him to take time off?

Especially just before transfer window is about to open?

Did we ever find out who Kelly actually was? Good times on the forum.

A figment of his imagination

Actually was a now ex moderator who was fed up with him harassing the females on the forum, so decided to teach him a lesson

Interesting times if this is true. Tinnion was clearly promoted way beyond his capabilities…. Do we trust the club to replace him with someone good enough to do the job though 🫣

Why ? He knows & has genuine affection for the club & is a local lad. Has vast experience working in recruitment at Man City & West Ham & will have very good contacts in the game . He’s perfect for it , or certainly perfect to head up recruitment .

It's that rare case when hiring an old-boy, actually allows us to get a potentially more qualified candidate than otherwise would be available to us. RN is an appointment a PL club would make whereas we currently have people questioning if our current TD or Chairman would be given that role by any other club in the league 😂

I wonder what Manning would think, if BT left?

He always seems to talk positively about him and BT seemed to choose Manning as our HC…..

Interesting times if this turns out to be true…..

Don't even joke about that! We'd actually have a chance to bring a tiny bit of experience into the club's hierarchical structure, please please please don't just promote the next in line if we do have a vacancy! 😭

Just keeping the job warm until Jon’s children are ready.

Does anyone here seriously have confidence in SL to, A appoint someone with a decent track record and, B let him have a free rein to do the job properly?

No, me neither, mediocrity will be the name of the game until the clubs taken over, and we all know that could be opening Pandora’s Box.

Indeed. Manning was Tinnion’s choice.
