I understand that it will be 6 away with tickets likely to go on sale in 13th Janโ€ฆ..

Donโ€™t let it put you off going to Sheff Weds away though ๐Ÿ‘

any tips on getting to the ground from the station?

My mate said we would have to have a few around the Station and get an Uber.ย ย
There's bound to be a Bus but you never know.

No Uber in Oxford Iโ€™m afraid. Plenty of taxis at the station. Leave plenty of time, Oxford traffic worse than Bristol!ย

He's probably so used to calling them that.ย

I find the Traffic comparison hard to believe but will make allowances , though dragging my lot from the Pub can be a chore.

Believe me as someone who drives for a living in and around Oxford can be an absolute nightmare in the week not so sure about Saturdaysย

Oxford is one of those Cityโ€™s, that despite making cars , hates cars , so is a mare to get around. Buses are OK if you have time, otherwise a taxi

Visiting Supporters | Oxford United Football Club

From Oxford Station both the City5 and Stagecoach1 bus services run every 5 minutes to Sandy Lane West. The journey takes around 40 minutes and then it is a 15 minute walk to the stadium (see City 5/Stagecoach 1 Timetable).

Taxis will take around 20 minutes to get to the ground from Oxford station and will probably cost around ยฃ15 - ยฃ20.

I have stayed at the premier inn next to the ground and their is definitely a bus service to and from the city centre.ย

The area around the ground their wasn't a lot (bowling and a few places to eat) the estate next to it seemed rough.

ย

On a slightly different note if anyone can sort me and a mate with 2 tickets it would be massively appreciatedย

Sounds like an appalling away dayย  , no pubs, no transport and isn't Blackbird Leys one of the biggest council estates in the country?

Oxford is one of those cities that has put pedestrians in the town centre first. Back in the day, it used to be an absolute nightmare in the centre of town. Don't just listen to Professional Angry-Man Clarkson.

Source: I lived there when it wasn't pedestrianised.

Youโ€™ve only got to watch โ€œMorseโ€ on ITV3 to see how busy it used to beย ๐Ÿ˜†

Then you get inside the ground and find it's the most souless stadium you can imagine, and as you're sat there freezing you look over the wall behind the goal and realise you should've to the bowling alley instead.

If you're travelling by train I'd head to Cowley Road after the game (it's on the way to the city centre), there's quite a lot of decent pubs and places to get food there.

When are tickets on sale? Being London based this is a, relatively, close away game.ย

Ahem - look about six posts north sir.

On sale Monday. Iโ€™m reading from this (as the ST only is subject to availability) that the number of people who have done 4 plus is less than the allocation as it indicates 2+ games there will be some available?

If I brought a Sheff Weds / Coventry ticket and donโ€™t go will I still get an away game capped without attending?

Yesย

Yep will be about 350 for tomorrowโ€™s sale I reckon and theyโ€™ll go quick. Itโ€™s a ground none of us have done with city so will be popular for that aloneย

Iโ€™ve got 3, says sold out but gone back in and Iโ€™d says 10 available. Would suggest just keep trying/refreshing.ย

Forget the above! - as per Pete, just went back in, refreshed, and got a couple.

Back to being 'the best dad ever'!!

It's a tough job.....

Not Oxford I know but it doesnโ€™t look like we have sold out for Coventry away , quite surprising we usually take a really good following there , perhaps itโ€™s one game to far ยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃ as we have had quite a few close away games recentlyย

My lad has been left devastated.ย  I managed to get 2 yesterday, so he has to go!

In all seriousness, our away support this season has been phenomenal.ย  Especially given some of the dross that's been served up this past year.ย  Much is said by the Fewers about their "excellent" support from the loyal and prowed, but we don't seem to sing our own praises anywhere near enough.

I object to paying ยฃ20 (+ booking fee) for a 8 year old - call me stubborn but feel that is excessive and won't give in to their demand, despite wanting to go and support the team this weekend.

I think the Gas shitsquad had a big row in that boozer in Blackbird Leys a few years back.

Locals didn't take to them...

2500+ isn't a bad following at all. And still a couple of days left for that to go up

I think this is another really good effort - players canโ€™t grumble with what will be 2,700 in the away end by the time we get to KO

Think Oxford and the gas have a little historyย

bit like we have ( use to with Millwall Cardiff and more recently Swansea ) saying that there was that one Tuesday night in Swansea ( The vetch days ) when city turned up rather unexpected they Jacks werenโ€™t best pleased ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ˜‚

2-2 one ?ย  ย You talk about the gash and Oxford, we had run ins with them in the late 60's early 70's. First time we played them, , turned up in our usual numbers thinking it was going to be the usual "Swindon" take over, no much to our surprise they fought back and we had to share the London Rd end, quite a surprise, that ! It went on like that home and away till our promotion season, they had quite a tidy crewย  back then.

Totally agree went there on a night game back in the 80s mini bus load from our area , all out of our faces on Taunton dry and went in there end , lasted about 2 mins they sussed us out straight away ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ‘Š I can still feel the punch some dude hit with 40 years later , very underrated Oxford , well in them days all much different ย now for everyoneย
