Robbored Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Fantastic game of football played in dreadful conditions with ivy rain and a draw was a fair result. It was classic and a terrific watch. The standard was about as good as gets, high tempo slick passing and movement and neither team deserved to lose 2-2 was about right. A great game. 1 Quote
Gillies Downs Leeds Posted January 5 Posted January 5 United focused down Liverpool's right side, Trent was caught in no man's land so often. Should have been hooked at half time. 5 Quote
Maltshoveller Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Man Utd players proving what a bunch of big time charlies they are Can run their socks of and give 100% in the odd BIG game but are to billy big balls to do it week in week out As for De Ligt - showed why no club wants him for very long Bruno can say what he wants those player have cost a few managers their jobs 1 Quote
Gazred Posted January 5 Posted January 5 It was an entertaining an interesting watch given both sides polar opposite seasons so far. Certainly didn't play out to form. 1 Quote
roadyred Posted January 5 Posted January 5 It was like watching a Premier League game from a time before Pep arrived. Two teams having a go, prepared to make mistakes in an attempt to score more goals. Enthralling stuff. 3 4 Quote

Amazing how people can be paid huge sums of money to make signings that are clearly awful. Casemiro another one but there are loads. How they didn’t start rebuilding with young stars years ago is crazy Quote

Will Rollason Posted January 5 Posted January 5 TAA be lucky to get his place back after that. he gave up on the first goal ..konate got drawn out to cover for him on the second( which he did nothing to stop) and he looked miles off it. 1 Quote
Jackson Lamb Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Trent looked like a man who’s already gone. Bradley should start the next game. If Liverpool can sell Trent now to Real, they should. Bradley is a better option defensively. 1 Quote
Negan Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Needed that for the sake on an interesting run in. Can’t be having Liverpool run away with it. Shame the ref conned Arsenal out of a win yesterday. 1 Quote

redkev Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Quality game , good old fashion tackles (fair play ref ) no tippy tapping football no feigning injury get the ball forward as quick as possible where you can and have a go and scared not to lose and a quality atmosphere from both sets of fans , took me back 20 years , personally thought De Ligt was unlucky with the pen , never intentional Edited January 5 by redkev Quote

Only chance for Arsenal is the Liverpool contract situation upsets the apple cart. Trent was awol today but that is nothing new. Quote

Some players can lose their legs and still have other positives so still go a job. Casemiro fell off a cliff Quote

steviestevieneville Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Haven’t read the thread so apologies if it’s been covered. If Tanner or Mcrorie defended like Trent did today, we’d all be calling for him to be dropped. Not interested at all . He’s been a lot more solid this season as well 1 Quote

He’s been a lot more solid this season as well Trent had a poor game and he knew he was playing badly - his body language showed that - possibly distracted by the interest from RM? Surprising that he wasn’t subbed earlier. Quote

Van Dijk is the one that holds that team together, of the 3 out of contract I think he's the one they'd be most desperate to keep (though I think he and Salah will both stay). 1 Quote

Markthehorn Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Very good open game with both teams going for it. Man U management and fans will probably wonder where that team had been for a few weeks. Liverpool will probably take a point given Arsenal were also held. Quote

Bazooka Joe Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Great game to watch. Trent looked spent. Surprised he wasn’t hooked earlier. Quote
Jackson Lamb Posted January 6 Posted January 6 The one person who hasn’t been criticised from yesterday is Arne Slot. It was poor man management not to hook Trent off earlier in the game. Possibly even at half time. No doubt the Real Madrid bid has affected Trent looking at his performance yesterday. It would have made much more sense to take him off earlier in the game. Quote

Open End Numb Legs Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I only saw the highlights but what we don't know is what instructions TAA was playing to. Or maybe he didn't have any. Maguire shinning it over in the last minute summed up the frantic spectacle of the game though it was good to see him at that end of the pitch, gambling on snatching a win. Maybe if that had buried itself into the top corner we would see him smile just a bit, it just looks as though he doesn't enjoy football any more. Quote
