I was thinking about McInness buying half of the dross in Scotland! You made me sit up after I watched that terrible game between the Dundee sides. You clearly have more insides than I do in the frozen north. (I have zero). Edited January 7 by REDOXO Quote

McInnes couldn't shift the bloated squad that was here when he arrived as I've already explained he took Kilmarnock to Europe from Scottish Championship and is highly rated by Alex Ferguson we were just the wrong club for him Where I live him and his wife own lots off property apparently there shity landlords But he has redeemed himself a bit Mowbray done same at Middlesbrough only a few made good My point is if your getting cheap players in on affordable managble wages even if they fail short off the division we can still sell them to league one or SPL teams and it's still clear profit How ever if they do make it we could have the next Lewis Ferguson or John McGinn on our hands it's all about development and them stepping up to the challenge Edited January 7 by Cider man Quote

Im sure Mr McInnes has had some success in his career. Yes I I guess cheap is relative to something and wages will always be an issue. However punts were us this summer Armstrong Mayulu Yu were exactly that. It’s intriguing no one went north of the border. But I have no input into any of it and know little of what goes into player identification. Nevertheless Scotland has a storied history of producing players, perhaps you have a point about Scottish availability. 1 Quote

We seem to have a couple off Irish players so getting Scottish Welsh Northern Irish players in along with the English players is a good move especially with the new rules were it's hard too get Eastern European or African players to the club or Afro Caribbeans that don't have British passports England is a much bigger market place though completely understand that but there are good players in all the leagues Edited January 8 by Cider man 3 Quote
REDOXO Posted January 8 Posted January 8 The boy from St Patrick’s is a sick note so far. Sykes if I remember correctly was from Oxford. The Scottish market in recent times has been ignored it seems. Time for a change perhaps as the Irish and Welsh lads probably have a better chance of cutting their teeth in Scotland. Quote

It's a good place too send players on loan too for game time for sure the club does that a lot not just this season and the games not that much different it's still physical and played with pace up here some different approaches too the game especially by the foreign managers some good some bad but it's certainly a place too learn Quote

Yes I agree with your thrust if we can send kids on loan up there, there must be something up there to look at as well. 1 Quote

Cameron is there best player but Mulligan is very good too and when said would start him over McCrorie for Scotland genuinely meant it won't be long till Clarke looks at him too with Hickey out and Patterson lacking games and Johnston playing in Austria offers far more going forward anyway for me McCrorie is a better CDM but that is another story 1 Quote

You should go to bed now. It’s still early where I am. Central Scotland not so much! 1 Quote

Errr...not sure we do. And Manc is part of a wider conurbation (Bury, Oldham, etc on their doorstep) in a traditionally football mad area. Part of our problem is our isolation - we don't have lots of surrounding teams, IMHO that means there's not 'fight for the top'. Being best out of the Slags, Swindle, (maybe) Baadiff and Newport isn't much of a challenge. As for the rest of the South West, I can't see the pastie-munching hoards (!) of Devon and Cornwall dragging up the M5 / various cart tracks to watch us. 1 Quote
