Br 1st ol Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 Had to do some serious bargaining to go to my second match in 2 days... Lets just say i now have a series of domestic chores to perform for the next week. What deals have you ever had to make in order to watch a match?
Guest GUERNSEY TAFFY RED Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 None, just have to let the missus know who's boss.
Nogbad the Bad Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 I always thought married life would throw up enough problems without any extra conflict about my City watching habit. I ended up marrying a girl i first met on a minibus going to a City away match. Her City leanings were not a decisive factor, but certainly helped. If supporting City is important to you, make sure she understands it from the word go and its not going to be a problem for her. If my wife disliked football and forever moaned about one of my main interests, we simply wouldn't have got on so well. Choose your life's partner carefully. There are plenty of attractive girls who go down the Gate these days, and to my mind even prettier with a City shirt on.
Lita For Congo Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Usually go Grafting with me old man then I'm sorted, Only costs me £25 to go to away matches so I'm sorted
bcfcchris2016 Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Soccer AM once saved me from missing my #1 show. After the last break. She wanted to watch the replay of the europe music awards. Suddenly on soccer am they say "and now on soccer am something for all you ladys out there" and there was a picture of some chocolate. She was glued to the show for the last 30 minutes. Just prove to show us men can be master of the house. Even though my mum and dad don't like footie and they pay for the bill.
