Danny On The Bournemouth Game

"It's a bit of a derby game".

Eh?Well I guess it's in the same half of the country.

Sorry, that makes about as much sense as Danny's explanation of leaving out Leroy. We've struggled to score goals recently, so let's leave a guy who wins games and seems to score for fun on the bench just because he's not as old as the others. Yep, that makes sense. Bet Liverpool fans wish their gaffer had followed that logic with Owen. And how Man Utd supporters must rue the day Ferguson decided to throw Giggs into the team as a teenager.

For God's sake. The guy's good enough. He must average more goals per minute on the field than any other player in the squad by a mile (a challenge for Madger's statto mind, perhaps?) What does he have to do to earn a place in the team?

No need as I believe this stat can be found on RedUn's excellent site here

.....and whilst we're discussing Danny's preparatory talks for the Bormuf game anybody want to play a game of "spot the difference"? Exhibit A & Exhibit B

Well on this particular point I agree with Danny.

Tiz a local derby and a darn lot closer than Plymouth.

We should play AFC Bournemouth right of the pitch but as we all know they can surprise us and make life very bad at work for Bristol City supporters in Dorset.

Here's to a good one and I'll be setting off soon from Dorset for my local derby game in the belief that we learnt something from our last outing against B'mth.

They never cease to amaze....... I mean they spend next to nothing each year, went down, came straight back up and then held us to a draw when we should have stuffed them.

Don't get me wrong I'm red & white, not red & black.

And for me you don't get more local a derby mush!

As for your other comments............ I'm not even going to go there apart from...... following and attending one or two reserve games it has been clear to me ( and many others ) that Lita can and does score goals, Danny it's over to you.

If he gets the big break and gets in the spotlight how long before we have to sell him on???????

BUT I'M GOING TO BRISTOL TODAY SEE YOU THERE! ^_^

Indeed (thanks Ian) - fact is Lee Matthews has the best goals/min record this season.

Almost as important for me as you Dorse as I'm working two/three days a week in Christchurch these days!

What a shame that Mr Wilson doesn't attend these games too. If he did, then maybe this fact would be clear to him too.

I also think that LIta should be given his chance - but not because he apparently scores goals for fun in the reserves.

I believe his qualifications for inclusion are purely that he has scored at first team level as a substitute.

To quote his prowess in the reserves is meaningless. It is a MAJOR step up from the reserves to the first team and the two cannot be compared. At best, it is merely an indicator.
