richieb
Following on from an earlier thread. I have seen that SL is blaming "play-off blues" as a real factor as to why we have made that shaky start. The good news is that it is now behind us. Come on Mr Chairman, while I agree that it was a huge disappointment in not getting up last season, lets not get drawn into the fact that this has been a major factor in a poor start to the season. How about. - Loss of Scott Murray (biggest contribution last season) - Trying to replace him with Wilkshire (a central midfielder) - Believing that Mickey Bell would be the midfield answer - DW's early season tactics - boring us all to submission - renewing the Burnell/Doherty partnership, that without the SM outlet was being shown up as negative. - Leaving Tins on the bench which left no creativity at all in midfield (especially with LW on the wing) I could go on. So while there is no doubt the management & players were disappointed at not getting up last season, I think this is a very lame excuse for some Management decisions that should be laid fair & squarely at the Manager & players. If we had started off with the team selections & style of play we have now, I for one don't think you would be in a position to have to blame 'Play off blues' B)
